I dont think either team was good today. It was a League 1 game. If its a champioship game next season on todays showing it will be in a relegation scrap.

Yet Flanagan deffo and Wyke probably should have scored.

Agree, trouble is if you don't hit the target you will never score

Disappointing result that. We didn't create anywhere near enough, it looked very much like a Jack Ross game. I'm a bit disappointed by the naivety of the substitutions to be honest, it was as if he didn't understand where the game was being lost. The last 10 minutes going route one was massively desperate. I don't think Semenyo had any idea where he was supposed to be playing and taking defenders off just allowed them to keep the ball in our half a little longer and kill time through chances of their own.

This game was lost in midfield, Hume, Dobson, Power and O'Nien didn't impose themselves on the game at all and we didn't have a platform up the pitch to build from.

Maguire was probably our man of the match. His delivery for the most part was good and he showed some endeavour.

We rode our luck on Tues night by allowing a stupid early goal to happen, and weve done it again today. Its come back to bite us on the ar$e this time.
Flanagan needs to hang his head in shame after missing that sitter that would have bought us back level, Wykes chance wasnt much better either.
We dont look a bad team at all at this level, but we are just not clinical enough in the final third. I really do fear now that that will keep us in this league for yet another season.

Would've been worth a shot bringing on Grigg for the last 15. Add to the goal threat.

Time to drop a few players, I think. Denver needs dropping, as does Wyke.

If you mean the teams in the top six we've won plenty.

Supposedly all we ask for as Sunderland fans is for the players to do their best and that's what I saw today, so although I'm not happy with the result I'm not going to get on their backs and say so and so is **** because they couldn't break down a stubborn defence in one game.

Our arses drop anytime we play anyone decent and rarely beat them, especially away from home. Only time we looked like scoring was from a set piece, our creativity from open play is non-existent. No chance we will be getting promoted persevering with Charlie Wyke up front, offers zero threat whatsoever.

Not defending Wyke but he has no help at all. As I stated earlier there is a lack of quality and cohesion upfront. Having said that I agree with you get him out and freshen it up a bit.

Even when we're not creating, all it needs is some pinball in the box and he could get a chance.
