Not having that, Matip was superb until his injury. Not his fault Gomez as grabbed his opportunity with both hands and is keeping his place. Picking Lovren ahead of him is strange. Maybe Klopp is trying to keep him happy with him reportedly being a big figure in the changing room?
Whatever else the argument or the circumstance, no 'talking to me' will ever convince me that Lovren, at £20m in 2014, was ever a 'steal', except by Southampton.
Which player tried to push his man off the field when half a yard from the touch line instead of blocking the cross for the first goal? Which player was waving his arms around whilst a man ran off the back of him to score the second goal? Which player never reacted to a bad back pass and allowed his player to go and get the ball for the third goal? Which player stood waving his arms whilst Sarr ran through for what should have been his hat trick? Little clue, it wasn't Lovren.
I've defended Lovren a lot over the years and I certainly don't jump on band wagons but Lovren was shocking today (not on his own and Trent was just as bad). To the point... £20m for Lovren at the time certainly was NOT a steal. He's served us well and the figure doesn't look bad now but it was a lot for us to spend on a CB back then.
Wrong coast, a bit further south You know who i mean because you seen it too but just can't accept/admit it
Just hope that Klopp never throws a kid into a PL game because with the attitude they seem to have (according to Jimmy) the rest of the players will just give up and drop to his level
