I stand by everything I've ever posted. The football under Ross stunk ... .... what I'm watching now is much better.
Yes, but much happier if we're promoted obviously. I was at Wycombe, Lincoln and Peterborough with Ross ... ... it was embarrassing. If Ross was still here we wouldn't be where we are now. Parkinson has transformed the team and enthused the supporters to such a degree we've sold out for a noon kick off, live on TV, where we'll have a big enthusiastic following. I believe we'll go up this season even if it's via the playoff's.
Touch wood been lucky so far other than tearing my calf muscle in September. Loving my running at the minute.
I posted a long time ago i think we are actually good enough to go up under Parky even through the playoffs for a change, we've improved a lot since then too. I supported Ross to the end although i agree the football was lacklustre and disjointed. Whether Ross should have been peddled or not end of season is irrelevant now, I wasn't excited about parky's appointment but once here imo the best thing to do was support him. I think the football under him is far better now with determination and purpose, we actually look capable in the final third of the pitch and right up to the final whistle. If we miss out on promotion i will be devastated obviously but definitely want Parky here come next season and i think his hardest job will be motivating the players if we do fail to go up. Wasn't sure of I'd get my car back but i did yesterday afternoon and said to the lad "do you still fancy going down tomorrow"? No tickets he said "your mad, I'm gonna watch it on sky" I'm bricking it for the win but it's still all to play for if we dont. Haaaaaa'waaaaay
No idea how you use the longbow at short distances - I've tried and absolutely can't control it. Not much good with them generally mind - no clue how Robin Hood's mob got on without sights!! I learnt on a recurve and got over reliant on the sights which I think is why I'm pretty rubbish on the longbow - kudos to you my friend.
Ross football last season was ok. I was willing to give him time this season to improve again and didn't hold the 2 Wembley defeats against him. However his brand of football this season didn't improve and if anything got worse. Chaotic unorganised mess with no clear plan. Parkinson has given us a clear plan, organised team and decent football. I don't see any hoof ball that we were warned about. And the team puts a proper shift in every game. No way is parky in the same bracket as Ross regardless of the end result this season. If he hadn't needed to clean up the disorganised mess Ross had left behind before the turned the results around, we'd easily be top of the league now.
When Ross brought the players back, unfit again, from pre-season I knew what we were about to receive. McGeady was a disgrace but included because 'he can turn a game in an instant' which rarely happened tbh.
The fitness coach has been Parkys best signing. The players visibly flagged on 65 -70 mins until he was brought in. Now they are still going until the 97th minute at least.
Will PP play Charlie n Gucchi or will he change it? If there is any doubt about injuries leave them out imo. Semanyo or Duncans pace with crosses to Lafferty might just work. If not McGuire gets the knock downs and hey presto a 20 yd screamer wins the game. PS, just trying to calm my nerves now.
