It’s funny how no one mentioned Trent’s defensive ability beforehand when we were conceding next to no goals. Like I said, just because Lovren doesn’t literally doesn’t kick the ball into the goal, doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have negative influence on the rest of them. The defence, the team is a unit. And you’re a strong as your weakest link. If you want to keep defending Lovren, be my guest. There’s a reason why we’ve achieved greatness and success since he’s no longer been a starting member.
I said this as well. Every other player was disgraceful. but Lovren is the heart of it, as he usually is in such defeats. Surely people can see the pattern here.
The entire thread lad, hes our fourth choice CB. He plays one game and people go into spasms as if it's a shock hes not the greatest. On top of that he wasnt the worst player on the pitch, his deficiencies where exposed because others where even worse. The witch hunt bores me.
Nobody is defending lovren lad, but putting the blame solely on his shoulders us ridiculous. I think you'll find tents defensive fragility is well documented, lucky hes got Joe behind him and Henderson to cover when he ****s up. Tonight he had neither and it showed through.
And I actually agree mate. Everyone was shockingly poor. But lovren is always at the heart of it it. Put it this way- if he wasn’t playing, we may have scraped a 0-0. Instead of a 3-0 loss that’s the margins we’re competing at.

Lovren's not being scapegoated - he's rightly being eviscerated as he was ****ing dire, as he now is more often than not. Nobody is leaving Trent out of the criticism though.
Definition of a scapegoat, someone who takes all the blame. He wasnt the worst player on the pitch so why is he getting the blame.
I'd put them very much on a par, they both have weaknesses. Lovrens are easier to see, but matip is not fantastic either.
Think we can agree we haven't been greatfor a few ganes, so a result like this was coming. Hopefully it proves to be a kick up the bum for some players. That's the reaction we want, a little hurt to put some fire back into it.
You've answered your own question there - he's not getting all the blame. But whereas Trent, Fab, Virgil and Windy have enough credit in the bank to say this is an off day, this is more usual than not for Lovren.
Well even Tantric sex has to cum to an end eventually. I am not bothered how many games we lose as long as we win the title. We have been very complacent in our performances lately and hopefully today will bring us down to earth and we can play like we have done earlier in the season. Onward and upwards!
