I arrive at Temple Meads around 13:07. But how the fudge will I make way to Ashton Gate? Quite the distance when I checked it out on a map. How are you going there? Any buses going straight to Ashton?
Found this on a fans site The nearest railway station is Parson Street which is around a ten minute walk away from the ground. However few trains stop at this station so you are more likely to end up at Bristol Temple Meads mainline station instead. This station is at least two miles from the ground and hence too far to walk, so best to jump in a taxi (around 6). Neil Le Milliere a visiting Exeter City supporter adds '"don't try and walk it from the station unless you really have to and then allow at least 3/4s of an hour for the journey". Chris Davis says; 'there are buses which leave from behind the Atyeo Stand at the end of the game which go to the centre of Bristol and Temple Meads Station at a cost of 1. Although predominantly for home fans, away fans could also use them'. I think that black diamond should be a £ sign.
Damn, when I read two miles I automatically thought it was 2 Swedish miles for some reason. 2 Swedish miles=13 English. I can easily walk two miles. Keeps me busy with something.....
Walking time could be drinking time Febbo's,enjoy the game and hope your curse doesn't prevail. Swedish miles, I thought a mile was a mile?
There's a train from Temple Meads to Parson Street at 13.25 arriving at 13.29. Costs £2 http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/service/timesandfares/BRI/PSN/tomorrow/1300/dep
True story. Followed FLGs suggestion 10000 meter=1 mil 1000 meter= 1 kilometer =10 km=1 mil You really gotta switch system! The kilometer system is much easier!
I got on the fan bus last season not sure of the time it leaves temple meads but it was £1.50 for a return they happy fir away fans to get on it! it leaves TM out the main entrance abd accross the main road if that helps
Haven't got a clue about buses or trains from Temple Meads to Ashton Gate but the buses are going to be going straight through the centre of town at rush hour and will be a nightmare. My advice is to get a taxi to the Nova Scotia - £10/£15 max, and you'll have a good hour to sample some decent cider
We use km when map reading but not for general distance guessing like road signs. Anyway, hope you have great day and City get all three points!
