Team news up - Benny is a doubt with an illness. No niko as has been predicted, and Gallas isn't ready yet. We still have about 8 or 9 injured/not available all told including Rose, Lennon, Hudd and Pienaar. Bale at LB? Bassong, Corluka, Townsend? Unless BAE gets fit quick, but obviously no point in knackering him.
Blond is also correct SF, especially if referring to a male. Assou-Ekotto would be a big miss, but it might be a good idea to stick Bale there if he's out, as you've suggested. We could move Modric onto the left wing, play Sandro and Parker in the middle and van der Vaart from the right. Walker and Bale would have to provide a lot of the width, though.
Yep PNP that could work. Unfortunately, we rely too much on BAE, especially now that Rose is injured. This season is going to prove to be a big test of our squad, here's hoping we pass with top 4 and trophy'd colours.
Think I'd have Bassong at left back. He's played there for Newcastle before and is a better defender than Bale, plus it sounded like he had a good game against Stoke so reward him with a start if Benny can't make it. Bale looked like he was near his usual self against 'Pool with the attacking runs so I wouldn't want to change him to left back and making him be more defensivley minded.
What's wrong with Danny Rose? How long is he out for? I can't see him on physio room which is normally pretty reliable, and there's nothing on his Wiki page. Physio room link if anyones interested, but I'm sure you guys know all about it: http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php
I've always found physio room to be very hit and miss. Rose's injury has been well-known for weeks. Has he even played once this season? I would never rely on physio room, tho occasionally can be useful.
Ah fair enough. I find physio room useful for finding out how many players are injured and which ones they are - it's usually reasonably reliable for that sort of thing. Then again it sometimes just misses things, like Rose's injury and a few others last season. Where it's generally pretty crap is that it often gets the injury type wrong and is useless at players' return dates. Do you have a different source for injuries or do you just pay attention and remember things better than I do?
From Danny Rose's twitter on Monday: "People Asking About My Injury ... Its Taking Longer Than Expected But I Am Trying To Come Back As Soon As Possible #COYS" Doesn't shed much light on the situation...
Too funny. If you insist upon quoting Wikipedia, please do yourself a favour and read more than the first few sentences. It could save you further and continued embarrassment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blond http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embarrassment indeed
Yeah, I noticed that. I prefer to believe that Lawro, despite his natural hatred and bias against us, isn't so stupid as to keep bashing his head against the same brick wall. Mind you, having said that, he's confidently predicted that LFC will stuff Wolves 2-0, so the delusion persists in some measure.
Hi SP. Yep PR is better than nothing, it's just a 'pinch of salt and a rub of White Horse time' with it. It can be tricky keeping up with all the injuries, the best source is News Now which covers so many Spurs sources including the OS which for all its failings is the most reliable source. Also forums and message boards such as this one are very useful.
Think Harry might play Charlie at LB- he played there recently didn't he. Bale will stay where he is, saw that Niko is a doubt too.
Hi PL. yep Corluka may play LB, as may Bassong or Bale, hard to call. Niko is definitely out, so VDV in for him looks a certainty.
Actually, "blonde moment" is generally attributed to women and derives from dumb, peroxide, Essex slags. I'll stand by may correction. http://www.google.co.uk/#sclient=ps...gc.r_pw.&fp=5c94afa2c4ddd490&biw=1252&bih=595 "did you mean blonde moment?" please log in to view this image
