Probably won't change it unless he has to, however he did get the fringe players to play in a friendly yesterday so maybe. Gooch and Hume didn't play too great against Fleetwood and Wyke struggled too.
Agree about Gooch and Semenyo has had a good impact when coming on. If there is a change I think that will be it.
Think Hume could do with a rest. He looked like he'd ran out of steam before he was subbed on Tuesday. Maguire seems up for it if you watch his video interview. Haway
For those in the UK it's on Sky Main Event (401) & Sky Sports Football (403) from 11:30 You can also cheer the Lads on from Quinn's Sports Bar for just £10 a ticket, including food and one drink upon arrival. Or even travel to Birmingham
As much as I've been arguing with Parker on twitter about the "I have no issue with him not changing" (which I don't btw!), I would like to see Lafferty started up top. I feel for Wyke who is systematically fouled and gets little to no protection from referees - but I just think Lafferty is a lot more "wise" in those and would make sure the defenders knew he was there! I'd put Lafferty for Wyke and Semenyo for Gooch personally
I will be surprised if their is any change tbh. would not mind in the least if I am proved wrong as I think the squad is terrific at the moment, and full of potential.
i visualise 2 of those stands filled with sunderland supporters ! that team will not beat Coventry, i said last week we needed to start Watmore and lafferty against Fleetwood, parky will cop it now if we don't win. please don't hump balls to wyke it does not work, advantage it is not their ground.
Parky's Presser: https://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2020/february/press-conference-v-coventry-city please log in to view this image "Sunday is important. We have to go there with the mentality to play as the home team. We have to be positive and play on the front foot." "We’re pleased to be within touching distance of the top two. It’s the business end of the season and now everyone has to be ready to give everything to get us over the line." "We have got to be prepared to go to the last minute of the last game. It is about playing when the pressure is on and we have got a very driven group who is ready for it." "Max is very driven - he is leading that for us. The group has high standards and they are all contributing to that and driving us on."
Anyone got any travel tips......or watering holes for this one? I've just realised travelling up on the train from London is going to be a mare for this one. Euston will be stuffed with City & Villa fans coming down for the Moose Cup. Brum will be stuffed with Villa fans on the way down + the Coventry lot, and undoubtedly a few stragglers from Birmingham. So for those heading up via Moor Street, any 'safe' away pubs round there /on the walk up to St Andrews?
Good luck mate - not sure if these ones are open on Sunday morning https://www.footballgroundguide.com...rews-birmingham-city.html#apubs-for-away-fans
Don’t get to many away games these days but I’m going tomorrow and I can’t ****ing wait! Need to get them beat and show we mean business
Great stuff, nowt like going with a sold out allocation in a traditional away end ... ... hope you have a fantastic day mate. Haway the Lads!
We're coming to a cross roads in my opinion. The narrative in my head is that on form, ourselves and Portsmouth are the best 2 teams in this league but Coventry and Rotherham have been more consistent. But we're reaching the point where our performances are going beyond just "good form". If we win this game, we won't look back. We'll go on and win this league.
