Wilder was actually bleeding from inside his left ear, not sure that’s good? Tonight he was totally schooled by Fury. Fury did exactly what he kept telling the Wilder camp he was going to do.
A masterclass from Fury. Great to hear the excuses from the American commentators watching their boy being given a reality check. The one point deduction seemed to make Wilder think 'oh ****, he'll want to win that back'.
Thanks for posting this. Didn’t see the fight live as I’m up early to travel down to Twickenham for the rugby. Fury looked very impressive
I think Fury has good technique, even though he sometimes looks awkward (looks less awkward now than earlier in career though)
Joshua is pretty much one dimensional, and struggles if he has to try a plan b. Fury has a natural boxing brain and can adapt to several different styles if needed, even during a fight. Joshua will be concerned to see that Fury doesn't have 'pillow fists' anymore, and his chin looks to be robust to add to his other skills.
That 'awkwardness' is an advantage, as it makes it difficult for his opponent to read and find openings, especially if they are a trained boxer rather than a natural.
Thanks for that QatarCT. Having watched, it was never in doubt from the first bell. Fury would make mincemeat of AJ, he's easily the best in the world.
The modern boxing plan is to find a marketable boxer, and feed them opponents that suit their style, and hype the **** out of them until they inevitably get found out when they meet a proper boxer, with a different style. Hamed, Khan and I'd put Joshua in to that too as examples. The boxing world and public have been forced to accept Fury, who has pretty much bucked the trend and done things his own way.
