They say they will comp;lete the purchase of everything in the summer, let's see. None of us know for sure, although we are entitled to speculate of course
Scepticism about ESI is now mainstream now that fans have had a proper look at the loanees. Steve Gallen has to come under scrutiny as heAd of recruitment. His halo has certainly slipped this year, in fact the whole setup doesn't seem right. Whereas Phil Chapple was Head Scout, who would make a recommendation, then the manager would make a decision, now it seems Gallen makes the decision. And it's the manager who gets the blame when it goes wrong. Or have I got that wrong?
SeriouslyRidiculous has the nerve to class me as a "Village Idiot" for still bringing up the fact that we are renting both The Valley and Sparrows Lane. Let's see where we are in September when ESI have failed to fulfil the "duty of obligation" to purchase both plots of land by the 1st July.
That “duty of obligation” is going to be sorely tested if we are relegated. Imagine the ST sales next season . We are set for a summer of more welching than you would see at Cardiff Arms Park.
If we are relegated and Season Ticket prices are increased then I can see Matt's Teflon coating disappearing very quickly … BowJackson will be fine as I think the blame will be aimed at ESI's January Transfer Policy of going 'cheap'
I thought a comment on Twitter was very funny yesterday …… a guy posted that they had found Matt's 'Super Duper Transfer Phone' in the bin at Sparrows yesterday … he obviously has no further use for it!
A Twitter poll on ESI yesterday. 270 votes. 36% fully confident in them 46% jury out 18% not confident I’m in the last category because of what happened in January.
Not606 voted 'Not Confident' ….. mainly because of losing Gallagher... yes we had players returning from injury but Gallagher made us tick, he created goals and scored goals and is still doing it for Swansea!.... HOW MATT COULDN'T SEE THAT IS BEYOND ME
Likewise. January was a hammer blow to Bowyer. I reserved judgement until I had a look at the 3 late loanees, but now now it's clear that Southall knows very little about football despite being an agent. And he has a helluve a lot of sway.
Absolutely. As I said in another post, it looks like Bowyer is more Head Coach than Manager. Let him manage, I say.
I think Bow was happy to let Gallen recommend new players as Bow trusted him... I am not sure if the January Transfer window has damaged that trust... let's be honest, January was a unmitigated disaster of a window.... as it turns out it would have been better if we had done nothing in that window other than renew Gallagher!
