Wayne Rooney broke through at 16. Does that make everyone else a flop then if they don’t break through at a similar age or a manager bad for not doing the same with regards to chances?

He's played there this season for PSV, but it didn't work very well, I believe.
Six games, two assists, no goals, according to Transfermarkt:
    https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ste...atendetails/spieler/284165/saison/2019/pos/14

This was the match which he got his assists in. The first is decent, the second is just a normal pass backwards:

Hate criticising Jan but not sure on that. Doesn’t look the same these days.

Peter Crouch claims he received an unexpected FaceTime call this week - from Jose Mourinho asking him to come out of retirement and help solve his striker crisis!

"My initial thought was that it was my wife Abbey, who had gone to the Brits," Crouch wrote in his Daily Mail column.

"I assumed it was her showing me what she was going to wear for the ceremony. But when I answered, it wasn't Abbey staring back from the other end, it was Mourinho, sitting in his office with a glint in his eye.

    'Are you ready, then?'

"Jose was laughing now — almost as much as I was. 'Peter! Come on! We need you! We need you!'"

Five at the back, Lucas and Stevie up top I’d imagine

Tanganga as right-wingback? What that, his fifth position so far? He'll be playing up front by the end of the season.

    Strong looking line up.

No Dele or Aurier isn’t a bad thing

No it doesn’t but it shows that age isn’t that important if the talent is there.

Spurs are absolutely desperate for a striker atm and Parrott still isn’t being given any chances at all.

Probably because Jose, like Poch, feels he isn’t ready.

The odds of an Aurier brainfart have diminished significantly

On the other hand, how many central midfielders does our bench need???

Looks like a solid line up

Hope Verts embraces this to prove a point to himself

4 new players in there as from the start of our season, circumstances have lead to a quiet revolution in our line up. One of the most interesting teams I think Jose has put out.

Sessegnon withdrawn from the squad Skipp on the bench instead
