Always remember many, many moons ago, people used to drink what I think was called a pint of twos, I think it was something like half a bitter and a bottle of pale ale. Although in other areas, it was something other than bitter and a bottle of pale.
Yes good point you bring up there ! I'd forgotten the old traditions and I was talking to my work friend last night about this very thing strangely enough . I pint of mixed was very popular in Hull when I started gonna pub in 1981
St Feuillien Blonde .Belgium This one is stepping up a level . Very light beer with a Zesty kind of taste . Great beer for a sunny evening in the garden . Purchased for a more than reasonable £5 for 3 bottles from Mark's & Spencer's. Im. Going 8.1/10 for this one . The 1st time I tried it I was unsure .
No chance. Loads of amazing UK breweries, some US stuff is good but too pricey compared to quality. Next time you're in London get yourself to a proper craft beer place, you won't regret it. I'm a CBR enthusiast, their events are Toby-heaven. The big one has over 160 breweries from all over the world, with their newest/best beers on tap. https://www.craftbeerrising.co.uk/
Mainly IPAs, ideally over 6% with a hint of citrus/fruit Brewery-wise the best UK ones seem to be in London or the south-west. I live close to the Beavertown one and loads of other smaller ones further south. I ****ing love beer.
Yeah it's totally ace . Me and my mate save money each month for xmas. It's to buy mainly Belgium beers . I've started buying a few already but I've just text him and told him I've drank them all
Yeah good advice . I'm not drinking for a good 8/9 days after tonight . I tend to stop when I get to 6/7 pints now . Most of the time I just fall asleepv
that's one of the main problems with beer. Loads of Belgian stuff is great, but I prefer lighter beers to some of their thick dark beers. They don't **** around with some of them.
You're not kidding . I love dark beers . Although some of the lighter ones are great like Zot and Troubadoor .. I'm a fan of Theakston though
That 5 point stuff I had earlier was superb. Best pint I ever had was an Anchor Steam beer in NYC. I've got new respect for the British stuff after trying some of these but I still can't see past the US stuff. Have you tried the Firestone Union Jack IPA? Or the Dogfish Head stuff, both really good.
