I think the vast majority of us are happy to have Hod on here, I'd like to think I can go onto the spurs board when or if there is an interesting topic for a decent debate.

It's a statement of opinion, remember, not fact. My honestly held opinion, which I have supported with reasonable arguments. May I suggest that you do not understand what the word "deluded" actually means?

I'm sorry that it winds you up that I believe that Spurs will finish 4th this season, but I suggest that the problem with that lies with you, and not with me. The encouraging fact of this whole sorry thread is that you appear to be in the 10% of Gooners on this board who see offense where, in fact, there is only opinion and debate; and that the remaining 90% appear to be pretty sensible blokes.

So, your homework for today, is find a good dictionary and look up the meaning of the words "delusional" and "debate."

Let me make it a bit more simple. "fourth place is Spurs' to lose" is completely delusional. Here is a definition of delusion for you:

An idiosyncratic belief or impression that is firmly maintained despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality, typically a symptom of mental disorder.

So unless your reality is one based on what you read in the sports section of the papers then you are indeed deluded.

Now the last time Spurs finished above Arsenal was in the 1994-95 season. In your reality all of that means nothing, and its the last 5 games we should look at, and believe the media who have been incorrectly saying the same thing about Arsenal for nearly a decade.

As I have said, If you use a term that you 'believe Spurs can finish fourth' then fine. That's optimism.

What you have said is delusional, the same as if I were to say, "Arsenal will finish above Man Utd".

I also find it interesting to note that your tone has all of sudden taken a turn for the worse, as I appear to have riled you into losing your smugness.

p.s. you might want to learn the difference between 'basis in fact' and 'fact'.

I think this thread is interesting in that I too believed it was a little harsh, but since calling the guy on some of his comments, he seems to have shown his true colours. I dont think he is a wum though. I am beginining to suspect he is lonely, so makes some comments to get a reaction and get engaged in some conversation on internet forums.

 

He isn't your typical wum. He started out making disguised digs that seemed to bypass most who have commented here. His intelligence or his ability to hold sensible debate isn't in question. What is in question is whether he deliberately attempts to wind Arsenal fans up and despite many defensive posts by Arsenal fans, he himself has confessed to wumming, ergo he is a wum.

I say get rid of him, and if any of his fanboys on here want to continue to cuddle up to him, they can go to the Spud's board and do it. Why should those of us with the ability to spot his true agenda have to suffer for the sake of those that cannot?

 

He may have said that he has engaged in banter with us but surely we are big enough to take that for what it is. What I feel is beneath us is to call him names when he has never gone down to that level with us. We started this aspect of it, not him. And I think the majority of members who have responded here have voiced their opinion that he should stay. So really, you are in a minority and should just withdraw gracefully as opposed to continuously stirring the pot of hatred. It is simply mean, unworthy, arrogant and disgraceful.
