    Quite impressed that a canny lump of cash was from the Premier league. Like you say good news though.

    Aye, I raised an eyebrow at that too.

    It came on the local news and I thought it was something to do with FPP at first! Dreams of investment near the stadium again.

    What sort of impact do you think the hub(s) will have? Guessing that you live in Washington!

    It should mean that fewer games are played on the waterlogged Southern Area playing fields, which can only be a good thing if you are trying to develop basic skills in younger players.

    The bairn uses the one at Downhill quite often, says its brilliant. Think he said its got a bar and teles there so they can watch the football and stuff , sounds class

    The original facilities were really good when they went in 20 odd years ago but they sadly let them go to rack and ruin. I’ve watched the new facility getting built and it is state of the art. I hope they’ve factored in the funding for maintenance so kids have the use of the facilities for decades to come.

    Hope so. Should be low maintenance by design, if they are forward-thinking enough.

    U8 tournament tomorrow for my son at Washington. Great facilities for the teams.
