Pep intends to stay at city despite cl ban. Wonder if hell feel the same when they're playing the gills eh
I think City knew what they were doing and weren't particularly bothered about getting caught as they'd just pay whatever fine was imposed on them. Getting booted out of the CL has blindsided them.
I don't trust UEFA or the FA, but if they really want to send a clear message out, then they ought to be relegated to either L1 or L2. Then at least we can laugh at the fookers. There fans need a taste of it back down here, the money people who run that club, have very short memories on the history of the club. So time to start kicking some arse in the Premier League, stop the greed and stop the cheating. Everyone knew City was at it, and it's come home to roost, you won't see me having any tears for them, just pure laughter.
Deffo this. I was browsing bluemoon forum yesterday, they seem to think citys lawyers will bring down uefa and ffp. Good luck with that
Dont think youll find many who aint laughing their bollocks off at city, as you say its been clear for years theyve been doing the dodgy in terms of financials, as far as I'm aware the only defence they have is that rui pinto obtained the evidence illegally.
But how do you legally gather evidence from crooks - Rui Pinto was merely carrying out a public service, that any law enforcement agency would have struggled to uncover.
Whilst I agree about the owners representing everything that’s wrong with the modern game, I don’t think City’s fans necessarily need a taste of the lower leagues. Most of them know all about League One and The Championship. I always used yo respect City fans, they got pretty good gates at Maine Road in the lower leagues didn’t they?
The defence they have is ****ing shedloads of money which will be used to pay the best corporate lawyers, to put all sorts of pressure on UEFA, and to buy off anyone useful to them. It’s not like UEFA and FIFA officials can’t be bought, is it?
Yeah they did. They have a hardcore of proper supporters. They actually haven't managed to pick up as many match going fans as you'd expect given the success they've had.
Found this... AVERAGE DIVISION TWO ATTENDANCE TABLE 1998-99: Manchester City 28,708 Stoke City 12,819 Preston North End 11,926 Fulham 11,387 Reading 11,262 Burnley 10,605 AFC Bournemouth 7,117 Millwall 6,958 Gillingham 6,748
Don’t know why you think that’s funny tbh. UEFA have already proven with their cack handed handling of FFP cases that they’re leaving the door ajar for legal challenge. I fully expect City to throw the kitchen sink at this from a legal perspective.
Was laughing at the madness of it all tbh, im certain city will fight this all the way too. Just makes it funnier. Any idea when the pl investigation will have a decision? ****in popcorn time for all of us
