    Yet it obviously does. Yes, I know I’m posting lots of Off Topic threads, but it’s reading stuff like this that makes me shake my head at what goes on around the world.
    If you don’t want to read the article it’s about ‘period shaming’ in India.

    Western societies may have their issues but it doesn’t stigmatise its female population like this.

    I could easily be shamed about the period of British Rule of India, (formally 1857 to 1947, informally add at least 100 years).

    Hard as the faults of Empire are to accept, I can't help wondering how much worse India might be today without British influence, flawed as it was.

    Nepal as well. Women die as they have to sleep outside in huts in freezing temperatures when they have a period.
