He’s not gained an advantage from it though that should be the point. Anyway now Adama is on I think their front 3 will rip us a new one
They can’t guarantee it even is offside though. Just go with an umpire’s call type of thing when the tech isn’t good enough to say for sure. Or just scrap it because it’s **** and supported by freaks.
the fact is that is the rule, so regardless its not controversial. we can disagree with there being zero margin of favour to attackers, but its not a controversial decision is my point.
Because VAR was only intended to overrule clear and obvious errors. The kind of offside decision given again tonight couldn’t have been given with any level of accuracy by an actual human linesman seeing that in normal time. It’s therefore not a clear and obvious error and they’re using VAR as the equivalent of goal line technology, when the equipment and calibration they’re using can’t guarantee that level of accuracy. In short it’s bollocks when they’re measuring it in millimetres, and not clear and obvious to the human eye.
the same people were winging when an offside goal went against them.. nowts changed they just like a cry
Fair enough. Hope you enjoy the inevitable advert breaks while they’re reviewing the offside decisions that even Mr VAR isn’t 100% certain about. The Beautiful Game.
You're ignoring the fact that the technology isn't accurate enough when it's that close - The margin of error is larger than the amount judged offside. So again, prove it was offside.
Because it is not accurate due to the number of frames per second tv cameras use...there is a msrgin of error and that simply goes to the defending team. We lost out on it v Leicester and gained v Sheffield United. I was at the United match and all the spurs fans thought it was bollocks.
It needs either a change to the offside rule that accounts for the VAR era or they simply make it a visual VAR check minus the lines, that if it’s clear and obvious is awarded as offside, if not, it isn’t given. Should take 30 seconds tops.
its the same rule for everyone using the same technology and guidelines so its not controversial . offside goals or not offside goals given by an obvious margin would be controversial nobody has heard anyone complaining as they have in the past about goals given yards offside .. theres many good things var has done, but sadly people lack enough omega 3 in their diet to remember or consider.
You still haven't proved it was offside mate. And I'd appreciate it if you would stop being disruptive on my thread.
Agree. The rules of the game were never made for the concept of VAR. So they need to change the rules to account for the system if they are to continue using it.
