Think both EUFA & FIFA have rules stating you cannot do that but only appeal to CAS though even if i'm right how they enforce that against an entity with the resources City have is beyond me .
City’s statement already hints at them going outside of that and going to court if necessary. For them to do that they’d have to challenge the basic premise of FFP imo, as opposed to merely trying to challenge the rules of the governing body. My guess would be something around restriction of trade.
To some extent most sporting bodies have rules that are a "restriction of trade" i.e salary caps , age restrictions but yeah City have been determined to push this so court is probably is . Tbf the bosses at EUFA are still furious with the PSG cock up .

Absolutely agree but it wil never happen. I much preferred the game when it was the old European Cup. I never dreamed of the day where I would want the top English/Welsh teams to fook off to a European League, but now I've gone beyond caring. Some will call it progress, I just see it as a destruction of our game and many a club as I once knew it. That probably makes me an old dinosaur, but at least this old dinosaur stood on terraces come winter freezing my bolloxs off, and supporting my team, because it was the loyal thing to do, whether you was top of the league, or as is most custom with my club the bottom end of it and sometimes in the old Div 4. If my club folded, I 'd rather go watch Ebbsfleet play then be a glory hunter - and there is some pretty big old names down in that league now.
