Yeah, we buy and loan players off and sell them. We have also got done for it.

City in the meantime buy players off their other teams. And sell players onto their other teams that they own. Slight difference mate. They literally own 4 other clubs - girona, new york york something, some aussie team and i think theres 1 or two more

Also cheers for acknowledging we have reigned it in and played by the rules since ffp started <whistle> (yes i know you didnt acknowledge but you havent argued against)

You changed the model, by buying up young players, loaning them out to increase their value and then trying to generate enough annual profit to offset a chunk of your spend.

Roman lost interest the minute his visa got lobbed in the bin mate.

Thats That although im not sure we have actually made that much selling youth players (only lukaku and kdb, ake come to mind for big fees)

Ive been hearing roman leaving for a while mate. Not surprised hes pissed off but i cant complain about his investment even in the period hes been banned. If this is him losing interest i will settle for that

I was always a great admirer of Brian Clough, and you are right, the cheque book has always dictated, non more so than for Trevor Francis in 1979, which was the only blot for me on the staggering achievement of Brian Clough & Nottingham Forest, but that purchase bought them a ticket as the elite. However, Man City for me took it to whole new levels, that I think has now destroyed the game, and the irony of the first sentence of my story, was who did Francis go to from Forest, non other than the team banned for two seasons today. It's what you could call a kick in the Malmo's :)

Think both EUFA & FIFA have rules stating you cannot do that but only appeal to CAS though even if i'm right how they enforce that against an entity with the resources City have is beyond me .

City’s statement already hints at them going outside of that and going to court if necessary.

For them to do that they’d have to challenge the basic premise of FFP imo, as opposed to merely trying to challenge the rules of the governing body. My guess would be something around restriction of trade.

To some extent most sporting bodies have rules that are a "restriction of trade" i.e salary caps , age restrictions but yeah City have been determined to push this so court is probably is . Tbf the bosses at EUFA are still furious with the PSG cock up .

Maybe it's the whole of top end football that needs looking at .
To think that all of these clubs aren't in some way being honest would be foolish .

Absolutely agree but it wil never happen. I much preferred the game when it was the old European Cup. I never dreamed of the day where I would want the top English/Welsh teams to fook off to a European League, but now I've gone beyond caring. Some will call it progress, I just see it as a destruction of our game and many a club as I once knew it. That probably makes me an old dinosaur, but at least this old dinosaur stood on terraces come winter freezing my bolloxs off, and supporting my team, because it was the loyal thing to do, whether you was top of the league, or as is most custom with my club the bottom end of it and sometimes in the old Div 4. If my club folded, I 'd rather go watch Ebbsfleet play then be a glory hunter - and there is some pretty big old names down in that league now.
 
why is every offside goal given offside by VAR reported as controversial ? it was offside ffs.
