It’s be done loads of times though, football has always been dictated by the chequebook going back throughout the history of the game. In recent times in the top flight Blackburn bought the title, followed by Chelsea. It happens at all levels of the game as well. FFP was driven by the established CL clubs who didn’t like the idea of new faces gate crashing the party and shoving their noses out of the trough.
