I watched this when it first aired. Bowyer was on TalkSport today, he said Brentford and Leeds were by far the best teams Charlton have faced this season
Before our game yesterday evening, I feared we could be 5th tonight. Not a bad 24 hours, it seems a bit brighter now
I'm just saying that IMO the ****e that he's getting is over the top. You could also say that he kept us in games in the first part of the season and gave us a platform to get promotion. In saying that he is now undoing a lot of the good work.
For me, a keeper should save goals and win points, I remember him playing well the first half of the season but I’ll be honest, he made good saves that I’d probably expect any good keeper to make. I don’t remember a save where I thought f*** me how did he keep that one out. He lost us the two points against Cardiff and two against Brentford, he nearly lost us the game against Brentford when he came flying out and misjudged the bounce, luckily it never. We were 11 points clear, he has cost us not far off those 11 points but then so have our attackers. We’ve not scored from great chances and we’ve had glaring keeper errors and because we’re not winning it’s highlighted. The focus of attention is now causing pundits and experts to look for reasons that are not there, fading second half, tired, small squad, it’s getting to our players, tell them they’re too tired and need a rest they’ll believe it. I don’t believe it helps slamming any player on social media but changes in goal and up front are needed.
Well I don't think Big Kev looks the answer, granted he hasn't had enough game time to judge him, but he looks like a panic buy(I really hope I'm wrong). He has to hit the ground running because there aren't a lot of games to go. The French keeper did very well in the cup, but the Championship is a different ball game. It would nice to see him get a chance, if only to stop the Kiko bashing.
