Good Morning. It's Wednesday 12th February, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road.

Share of the spoils at Griffin Park

A revitalised Leeds came from behind after gifting Brentford a goal, to pick up a credible draw last night at Griffin Park.

The howler occurred midway through the first half following a diagonal back pass from Dallas. Casilla allowed the ball to run under his foot straight into the path of Benrahma who stroked the ball into an empty net.

The Whites were level seven minutes before half time from the most unlikely of sources. Harrison's in swinging corner was completely misjudged from Bees shot stopper David Raya straight into the path of Captain Liam Cooper who buried the ball in the back of the net.

It was no more than Leeds deserved having dominated their opponents during large periods of the first half.

Leeds continued to show their superiority in the second half but even with Augustin making a cameo appearance neither team were able to show the finishing touch.

Leeds will slip outside the top two for the first time since late October if Fulham pick up a win at Millwall.

    Bielsa Post Match Interview

Casilla responsible for Leeds form - Murray

Sky Soccer pundit Matt Murray was talking about Kiko Casilla last night on the Debate.

Murray believes that Casilla is responsible for Leeds abysmal run of form, stretching back to mid December.

“I feel that the game against Cardiff against Elland Road… he made a mistake, and I think that’s set this run off for Leeds,” Murray said.

“I’m telling you now, if you don’t trust your goalkeeper, tonight, the ball went under his foot, he has to deal with that.

“That’s how Leeds play, they build from the back. After that, you’ve got a mountain to climb. I don’t care, if you can’t trust your keeper you’re in trouble.”

Interestingly, when quizzed whether the racism case was weighing on Casilla’s mind, Murray said, “From what I’ve heard, quite rightly, he wasn’t found guilty.”

Huh??? What does he know that we don't, or was it purely a mistake from his part?

Morning all. Ive said all I have too say about the debacle that is our keeper and his continued selection. Suffice to say, I changed channel after his latest goof last night and really couldn't be bothered watching anymore while he's between the posts. Cant decide who is worse., the keeper, the man that signed him or the one that keeps picking him. Anyway, a busy day ahead

    Morning all...

Excellent display from the team, decent result but it could have been better, it could have been a lot worse too, on a positive we gave the form team a football lesson last night.

Phillips on LUTV when asked about Kiko’s error - “Obviously very gutted for Kiko but it’s a mistake that he can’t really make. He knows that, we’ve told him and he’s apologised for that. That’s football and it happens,”

Bielsa has to surely drop Kiko now? Bielsa likes to show loyalty but he has to draw a line

Forshaw season is over, he has flown to the USA for surgery *Edit posted then saw Emu posted <ok>

Barry Douglas has 12 months left on his contract, it seems we’re not renewing it, we are set to listen to offers in the summer for him.

Matt Murray on Sky Sports Debate programme - I bet he has heard a rumour, case dropped I imagine.

Rumours we’re going for Karl Darlow in the summer, £25k a week out of contract so no fee

Hasselbaink was critical of Casilla, before the game at QPR, blaming him for costing us points, noticed he slated him too for goals against Sheff Wed, Wigan and Forest since.
MB seems to be the only one ignoring it.
This is what Bielsa said after the game,
"Kiko Casilla doesn't need a word from me, I always support him with his decisions"
    Which is a worry..

Bet me too it! That is worrying indeed. One mistake can be forgiven, but more than one in consecutive games, that's a different kettle of fish entirely.

Its a real shame as well, as we deserved to win this last night and shut up the cocky Brentford manager.. D1ck head he is.. ha!

They clearly think it’s a risk to put a 19 year old in. Surely it’s now a case of what’s the worst that could happen.

I really felt we should have taken an experienced keeper on loan in jan... as an insurance against meslier not being ready... or being put in and not delivering.
It was clear casilla was costing points before January.
Instead we took another kid with potential.

Wasn't BPF about that age when he broke though?

Ironically, loads on social media calling for 19yo Poveda to play! :)

Could he be any worse, other than QPR and i still think he went down far too early for that one too, he's costing us a goal a game since the Cardiff debacle

I’d have been playing him since arsenal. He might prove to be great - but they obviously have some reservations about him otherwise he’d be playing.

One of Main problems, lets face it is Ortas signings. He selects a keeper who wouldn't stop a cock of hay, a striker who cant hit a barn door, a striker in January who won't be fit till probably April, Costa and Douglas and a whole load of ones for the future that have already been moved on. Orta really is getting a great living and not delivering a whole lot in my books

We should be suing him for taking money under false pretences
Have I got a fixation about Orta yes I just think he is a full weight load of sh*t and has cost the club a lot of money
I don’t know about a stadium ban he should have been made to resign

With respects to everyone, and speaking in general,

Kiko is getting a lot of flack, yes he's made mistakes, and he was a tosspot for the one against Forest, but he also makes some good saves too.

Early in season Kiko was playing well, even saving our arses, and plenty said so, he also kept quite a few clean sheets as well.

When did Kiko start making his few mistakes, some say Cardiff, but didn't the whole team start losing form against Cardiff, and it's pretty much been that way since.

We had an 11 point lead, now it's one, soon to be 2 points behind Fulham if they beat Millwall, and we'll have dropped down to playoff positions, just like last season under same coach.

I can see frustrations fraying, and some are looking for a scapegoat, same thing happened last season, everything seems to be Deja Vu, including the way the coach is managing things.

For the ball to get to Kiko, it must first go through or past the defence, so what contributions are they contributing to our downturn in form.

It's easy to say Kiko this, Kiko that, but changing a keeper doesn't mean our form all of a sudden is going to rise to same level as first half of season.

While a keeper is conceding goals at one end, whoever it is, our so called strikers ain't scoring any at other end. Took a defender to grab equaliser which resulted in points shared at Brentford..

The game is a team effort, not just a keeper effort, and the team effort starts with coach. We all know what Bielsa is and isn't doing, so why isn't he able to revitalise the players, why isn't he able to instill confidence in players enough to play like we did in first half of season.

I said at halfway stage, like I said last season, teams are going to work us out, and most have, yet Bielsa doesn't change anything.

I see Kiko copping a lot of flack, and I ain't making excuses for him, but I haven't heard anyone give Harrison flack for his bad mistake that gifted Forest their second goal. Harrison, Bamford and Costa are all making mistakes, every game, same mistakes over and over, but they ain't copping as much flack as kiko is.

Moving deckchairs on Titanic ain't going to change anything.

Some were having orgasms cos we grabbed a draw against Brentford, some are saying we are vastly improved and saying we outplayed Brentford, truth is, we aren't vastly improved and we didn't outplay Brentford, they had same shooting problems as we did.

We had the vast majority of possession, we play out from back, our possession rate is always going to be greater than opposition cos of the time, and number of passes it takes to get out our own half most of time. A lot of our passes go sideways or backwards, sometimes back to keeper, then it starts all over again, it's like Chesh said, most of possession is in our own half at back.

While most are having a go at Kiko, one man, we have bigger problems up front, 3 of'em to be exact, we ain't scoring goals.

If we drop into playoffs, we're going to see if affects the players confidence as some are probably thinking "here we go again".......and Psychologically, Bielsa's doing nothing about it.

While I agree that the Kiko situation is brutal at the minute, in a way I'm glad Bielsa didn't humiliate him at H.T. I agree the young French lad should be given a go. But like I've said a few times there are other players on the pitch that should have been replaced. I'm also worried that our new signings were got just to appease the fans and I hope we see them get longer on the pitch. It's obviously too early to judge either player though.
