Come on, Anyone expect anything different with the team we had out tonight? McKenzie is our 7th choice central defender ffs. That is unprecedented. We did give the defence a bit of a break when Magennis and Wilkes were on. They were replaced by Eaves and KLP and that was the last we saw in attacking half. Eaves was anonymous, as was KLP. Sorry but hes not ready yet, especially in a struggling team.
C Can’t honestly see me getting up at 3am for that one. If the players can’t string two passes together, which they clearly can’t, it’s just gonna be another painful watch. And why was Batty withdrawn yet that useless **** Honeyman left on? At least Batty makes his presence felt, Honeyman is just a sick joke of a footballer, runs around waving his arms but does less that **** all!
Balogh not involved again, despite being "nearly ready" and playing (and scoring) in a few U23 games. Seriously, HDM, get Lee Darnbrough in for a Q and A and ask him about some of these signings. Because you've got to question why we're getting so many injuries, granted you're going to get accidents, but not of this magnitude, I imagine much of it comes down to player fitness.
The Allams have to take responsibility for this situation, but as all they care about is keeping the debt at £50 million so they can rake in a few million every year in interest payments, they won't. They employed a League 1 manager & then their transfer policy is to buy League 1 players who could hopefully step up to Championship level. Not only that, push for promotion to the Premier League. It's farcical & shows again how totally clueless The Allams are at running a football club. Making money is their only agenda & has been from day one. Get a cheap manager in & a load of cheap players in. Get relegated, they don't care as the debt remains at £50 million & they keep on raking in the millions. They will never sell this club as long as they can keep it in debt to themselves. I actually fear them more than Hinchcliffe & Buchanan. They will kill this club, because they have no love for it.
Nights like tonight are why I don't come on here that much. I go to games (not looking forward to Friday ) but have found it easier taking a step back from all the discussions etc. I just don't want to be emotionally involved with the club at the moment, it is just too bloody painful.
Hinchcliffe and Buchanan were both crooks. They paid nothing for the club, never paid a bill whilst they were in charge and sold everything they could get their hands on and lived the life of Riley on the club credit card until the plug was eventually pulled. Hinchcliffe finished up doing time. I think the club will be sold soon and we will be left in a sound financial position. The Allams are nothing like the Sheffield Steelers.
I agree, the 433 was based on B and G having pace to burn. First 60 mins tonight though, I thought we were more 442, with Maddison playing midfield? We certainly aren't going to be the best counter attacking team, but he knows better than any of the us the player's he's signed.
CBs weren't the problem though. There were enough senior players on the pitch to at least expect we might put a few passes together, keep the ball a bit, have a couple of shots on target, tackle. Blackburn were bang average, and had key players out themselves, but were allowed to look like Barcelona compared to us. Injury situation is ridiculous of course (and does start to make you question whats really going on). Likewise, difficult not to at least start to doubt McCann. Naive? Stubborn? But the buck stops with the owners. A club in utter turmoil and freefall. Will there even be 5k (actual attendance) there on Friday night?
Tbf we wont miss kane .. he added very little .. the other two would have definitely made some difference
I thought steve Bruce was responsible for all the injuries ?? out dated methods etc etc Lot in agreement with that on here they had 7 injuries to first teamers No excuses We weren’t mcanny enough Geddit
