But I honestly don’t care who takes the corners, I’ve seen 3-4 different corner takers this season, all are put into the danger area more often than not, many times they’ll find our own player but we fail to do anything with it. It’s not who takes the corners that’s the problem, it’s the finishing.
But improved in his time with us. Kiko is getting worse with every game if that’s possible. But likely won’t matter as I presume he has finally been binned for tonight’s game
Nothing inconvenient about that question, answered it loads of times. We’re a bunch of short arses, our defensive organisation isn’t great and our keeper is sh*t. I wasn’t disagreeing that it’s difficult for keepers if there are blockers, infact I offered it as a mitigating case for kiko in the millwall game thread. You said my facts about number of blockers were bollox, so i proved they weren't. Since then you've been squirming, because you can't bear to admit you are wrong about anything, and have randomly made up incoherent crackpot theories... such as the one about our guys around the keeper leaving players unmarked in the box! They are marking the blockers! I know it seems like the opposition have more players on the pitch than us at set pieces, but actually they don't. All I do is provide the facts/evidence where available to support my argument. It’s not my fault they’re inconvenient for you. What is my fault is chucking another 50p in, but hey sometimes I get bored and can't help myself
Green made a famous one for his country many years ago. When he played for us, he made a couple of mistakes early on, after that he was largely regarded as excellent... and he played for a team that had a lot of defending to do. He was dumped for Felix because Orta wanted a sweeper keeper, Green wasn't so comfortable with the ball at his feet. Felix was a better 5 a side player than Green but clearly not so good a 'goalkeeper'. He's a nice guy Rob Green he was a bit pissed at how he was treated and moved on. Like anyone at work who isn't happy. Like Kemar Roofe, who felt he'd earned a decent contract and knew what bamford was on. etc The club have a strategy (sometimes one that is difficult to fathom, but they have one) and that doesn't always align with the career aspirations of a player. As fans it's tempting to side with the club and slag off prima donna players because we'd all love the chance to play for Leeds, but none of these guys are Leeds fans and even if they were, that shouldn't be used as an opportunity to not pay them market rate. Having said all that, i take the point about them being history ...wish them well, thanks for the good times and concentrate on what we have.
Maybe if we were putting the ball in the back of our opponents nets, he'd not have as much pressure on him. I don't think any player should put up with the abuse that some get by some of our expert supporters, it only serves to put more pressure on the players. I hope you get your wish and Kiko and Bamford are dropped and then we'll see what happens to the newbies if anything goes wrong. I used to think it was a myth that we are fickle fans, but I'm starting to believe it.
Hope I do too and hope the replacements are up to the job. I’m sure they will be as Orta and Bielsa signed them
