    I once had a drinking session with a guy who has been a successful songwriter. He said some of the best stuff he's written was for a pop star but it's considered cheesy **** because of who sang it. I think that's true of certain songs.

    Yeah I can see how that could happen, no matter how good the song if a cheesy pop act do it then it won't become credible.
