No there needs to be accurate representation across the board.
How can a black person empathise with a white character? Its just not possible.
Infact I remember watching Blade and thinking to myself "I'd be really in to this if Blade was white, but as he is black, I have nothing invested in this......!"
There we go, an Asian film won best film, and an asian won best director.....
That should appease people for a decade or so.
Like when they had Denzel Washington and Halle Berry win best actor and actress respectively in the same year, because people were accusing them of being racist.
And Denzel, who is an exceptional actor, won it for one of the ****tiest films he has ever done, performance wise, Training Day.
He should have won the Oscar when he did Malcolm X, and they knew they done ****ed up by not giving it to him, so they compensated for giving it to him for a film that didn't deserve it at all. I mean training day is a decent enough film, but it shouldn't have been winning any Oscars
Its like in football when a referee ****s up a decision and awards a penalty when a player dives, so then he compensates by awarding a soft as **** penalty down at the other end!

But as has been mentioned, he's good in just about everything he does.

It just follows one timeline and the filming is superb !
