Someone 'suggested' in a 'gone too far' way that someone else was a bit more than 'a bit of a villain' and the offending comments needed to be removed :emoticon-0105-wink:

In fairness I think that's the second or third time you've come on to say that. I've noticed other people, who rarely post, doing the same thing.

If people don't take the trouble to actually post they can't really complain about the content ...

... it's not just a reading library for bored office dwellers.

A quick look shows you've never posted a thread, why not give it a go?

Okey dokey, this might help to get the thread back on track.

I've just sent this to someone who'd sent me a PM on RTG basically calling me a liar.

Some of this may not apply here but it's too long to edit.

"FPP negotiated a deal, with Donald, that was agreed by both parties, a done deal. Fuhrman said as much to a friend, Ben Brown, who showed me the messages between them. They're the only messages I've seen from any of FPP and it was just a huge coincidence that I met Ben Brown at the time the deal had been agreed. The outstanding message from Fuhrman was that he'd 'just bought Sunderland'.

When I posted this information I received confirmation by PM, on RTG, from someone who gave me details only a person involved could know. Since that time they've sent other information that has proved to be 100% correct. I've also received various messages from someone at a Sunderland supporters group, a friend of Methven who I met up with at matches including Lincoln away, and two posters on here who been hit and miss but generally correct. Methven going, McGeady being peddled, Ross sacked, etc were posted, on their word, well before the media reported it.

There were some things I repeated that were way off but nothing worse than the kind of things the Echo, BBC, fanzines, etc were guilty of. In fairness Donald has told so many people so many things that it's difficult to sift the truth from all the lies.

Part of what I was shown was a collection of feasibility study titles which I assumed we're commissioned by FPP but never actually confirmed as such, who else could it be though tbh. These included an appraisal of the potential at the AOL which coincided with an FPP visit. Other studies were on the SOL, the area around the ground, the club image including the badge, Sheepfolds, etc all of which seemed quite reasonable for someone looking to buy and develop a club. After all, these weren't plans, just studies. Some people have made far too much of them which isn't my problem but, of course, I'd love it all to happen, I'm a Sunderland supporter!

After all of this Donald then believed FPP were so enamoured with the project, which involved him running the show, that he could now chance his arm and ask for two bonuses. I'm not sure if I'm yet allowed to post them so let's say a big bonus for promotion and another, double the first, for reaching the PL.

At which point the whole thing soured and FPP said the original agreed deal was the only one they'd accept. The suggestion is that the deal now didn't include a salaried contracted position for Donald meaning he'd only break even or perhaps lose money. So his only two options are to accept FPP's initial offer or find a buyer who'll offer more.

FPP are still there, haven't altered their position in months and are currently the biggest investors. If someone makes a better offer they'll have a decision to make, but as things stand they'll eventually own the club even if they don't particularly want it.

    They'll become owners by default."

I originally had nowt against Donald et al, making a few quid profit, problem being you start your offer high then lower it on negotiation, not the other way round in which Donald has seemingly done.
He is increasingly looking amateur at every level.
The sooner they are out the better as if we don’t go up I fear for the long term

I used to deal in antiques and would always stand on my word. I'd sometimes spot a real bargain, advertised in the paper, ring up and say I'd give the asking price.

If I turned up and was disappointed I'd still shell out and take it.

But I'd really blow up if I arrived and someone started with the old routine, 'I've been talking to the wife and she reckons I should be asking more'.

I once dented the roof of someone's car out of sheer temper ...

... really hurt my fist anarl!

    Thanks for being candid.

So I am to assume from this that the original deal was always the loan that could convert?

Nice one Smug , it’s been on other postings and you can’t expect FPP to pay over the top if he wants deal done by end of February . Their is still a lot of football to be played before the end of the season and if he is not around to bring it to a conclusion he can’t expect a bonus .

    @Smug in Boots
Thanks :emoticon-0150-hands for the post, it was great to read it all and I really appreciate you sharing it with us mere mortals :emoticon-0131-angel

Only one question now to help me compare these celestial happenings with the mundane world I inhabit:emoticon-0139-bow: - can you pin down just when :emoticon-0160-movie the deal turned tits-up for SD - or is worldly time :emoticon-0158-time: meaningless to you higher beings? :emoticon-0136-giggl

I don't think it's that they don't particularly want it, they just aren't willing to have someone have their pants down - let alone agree a deal and then the seller move the goalposts.

Or the happy medium that is what they've negotiated - they don't want to own it today, but they would like to be able to own it in future once they're more comfortable and we've progressed a little further up the ladder that Donald is selling them.

  15. Good man.....keep it coming!
I'm hoping this all works out in our favour and we end up in the hands of some seriously well heeled people who see the potential and are prepared to back it all the way!!
I wish I could say to them......"come to watch us beat a top PL team(or the Mags) in front of a full house stadium here....the atmosphere man......you will just know your investment has been worth every penny!! You will be in heaven!! FFs,don't give up on it,give it a go!! Give us a go!!"

  17. And, to follow it up, if you were someone who wanted to invest in an English football club.......for whatever reason........there is no other club which could give potential more return on capital invested than ours! There is no-one who could fill a 48k stadium for as small an outlay than us.
