They are however marking the opposition in the box - they're marking the blockers... just aren't up to it physically. It's obvious why they pick him for it, he won't win a header so might as well use him to mark someone who will be blocking, but it hasn't worked. Ayling at fault for losing his man, but as you repeated ad nauseum last year, keepers need to come for corners and this was only a few yards out. When BPF was getting shoved in the back, or when he didn't come for a corner on the penalty spot, you were full of how keepers need to own their box and take responsibility. So these are the two i had in mind that lost us goals, both times they put two on the keeper and we put two to mark them. That's 4 players where i went to school.
I can put videos up too. Our players and Forest players around our keeper, also, when we have a corner / free kick we don't implement same tactic.

The point was it doesn't need to be that many does it? You said bo11ocks to it being 3/4 players and I showed the two goals we conceded in the last few weeks with 4 players around the keeper. You claim our players marking their blockers are leaving players un-marked in the box? But actually they are marking the blockers... because amazingly the blockers may move and count as opposition players. Crazy I know. ...never let an inconvenient fact or two get in the way of your argument. Because it wouldn't be you any other way
Thats easier said than done. Keeper is an integral part of the defence and were effectively playing without one. If we still had Rob Greene, wed be nearly promoted

Last year Bielsa underestimated the championship big time, its a marathon not a sprint small squads rarely work in this league. you never really strengthened last January and you paid the price (IMHO) deja vu this season me thinks he learnt nothing Only difference this season is the way things are going you wont even be in the playoffs
to be fair if you’d played well all season and were told you’d be number 2 to felix the cat, it would probably p*ss you off. Hell it would p*ss me off to be no 2 to wiedwald!
It's about being a professional. If you remember Calamity Green made a lot of mistakes early on and got slagged off by the usual crowd. Although to be fair he did improve. He spat his dummy out and good riddance to him. He just proved that his motivation was money and not about getting his head down, work hard to get his place back.
