I have followed Sunderland all my life and I did attend every home game until a couple of years ago, I was given a promotion at work but this meant a move down to Milton Keynes all im doing is providing for my family, I will be making the 500mile round trip to attend this weekends game.
Or lets make it even more simple - when you die and go to heaven / hell - does that mean you will support Angels / Demons FC? Because I will bet my house that the rest of us will continue supporting Sunderland!...

It's not just this thread though MR, have a trawl back through any thread ( i know you have already) I just find him offensive when he has a go at overseas supporters, a bit too close to the bone for me. I work overseas, i do a month away and a month at home so i get to see 50% of the games, well, make that 25% as the other 25% are away and i can't get there anymore due to comittments, but i have 2 season (cards) tickets for the Premier Concours plus i pay ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã250 to the Corporate Scheme every season. But i have to listen to this sad pathetic twats drivel accusing me of not being a real supporter. I wish that one day i could bump into him.

But his argument doesn't hold water and never did. As far back as the 1890s, when 'The Team of all the Talents' was knocking up championship after championship, there were soldiers and administrators in India, New Zealand and South Africa, plantation staff in Trinidad and Jamaica, etc. wanting to know how the lads were doing. O.k., a lot of people in the N.E. did live and die in the same pit village. But Sunderland and the Tyne towns were also seaports, and they sent out men to every corner of the Earth. Thanks for your support MR, i genuinely thjink he is overstepping the mark here and needs to be reigned in a bit. I luv a bit of banter but he's going a bit too far lately.
