    Morning, Dave; morning, all. :)

    It’s pretty blowy here. Let’s hope it’s cleared up by 2pm, when I’m playing outside at AL2 1BZ. o_O

Morning all... Just getting ready to go off for my course on beans, pulses and lentils.
Fair to say that these curries are nothing like your local Indian, which us actually punjabi or Pakistani... These are gujarati and much lighter, with tasty spicing. Hansa who runs the courses had a famous vegetarian Indian restaurant here in Leeds which she ran for 32 years
Her Dosas and speciality dishes were famous.. I will be looking at cooking those in the months ahead...
Mme was very pleased with what I brought home yesterday...

Morning all. A gusty wind here, forecast to strengthen as the day goes by. I think we are on the tail of your possible storm. Anyone know what is the situation with the large tent at the training ground? I noticed that it had had planning permission refused to keep it up, but noticed it is still there and being used. A little light gardening I think. When the weather allows me to do it at this time of year I usually get stuck in and overdo it, then suffer for a few days unless I can do some more. Must learn to pace it better. Have a good day whatever the weather. <ok>

I was going to be there today, ofh. It is an inflatable so whether it will cope better deflated or inflated must’ve been built into its engineering. Don’t know which.

Ah yes overdoing it in the garden, I used to able to do a whole day but like you I suffered so I have trained myself to limit it to a couple of hours and make sure I move around a lot. Even that can be tiring, It's sad really.

my barometer & barograph have dropped to 28mb today, never seen it that low, almost off the scale. It's a funny storm, blows a bit then stops, rains a lot then stops. Looked at the pressure chart and it's pretty scary and we won't see it through until Tuesday. It's supposed to be at it's worst here about now but it's pretty benign, but I have not been out.
Stupid name for a storm, Ciara, which no one can pronounce, how about something British like Carol.

Is it politically correct that most storms are named after women's names ? <laugh>

Under water here in the garden for the first time in 15 years.. The old English name for where we live is bog, we didn't know when we moved in, and the local government put drainage tanks in on 2003, and we put drainage pipes in the back garden. This morning it is flowing through the back gardens along the side of the house and we now have a paddling pond where the front garden was, flowing slowly out into the road

Well the wind has certainly built up as the day has progressed, but it has stayed dry. Reading about the troubles of some I hope that everyone here is safe, and Yorkie has managed to keep the floodwater out of his house. A couple of friends have just returned from an enforced visit to England, and caught what turned out to be the last ferry to run from Newhaven. No ferries are currently leaving the UK, and the last return we had in December was a bit bumpy. They have already cancelled all of tomorrow's sailings, and looking at my forecast for here it is still likely to be windy. At one time this sort of weather meant that we would have power cuts, but works have been carried out, and they hardly ever happen now. Have a good evening one and all.

Morning all. Sunshine at present, but still plenty of cloud about. The strong winds have dropped, but strong gusts are forecast for this afternoon and it is still quite mild. I see that the UK government is taking powers to fight against the Coronavirus, and I had a mental picture of 60,000 football fans all wearing facemasks. Easyjet has reported that a passenger has been found to have the virus, and attempts are being made to find people seated near that person. While this continues I wonder if non-essential flights should be halted. Better to try and stop it early than wait until it gets worse. I hope that you all have a safe day. <ok>

Any idea how your card was used for these transactions?
