I don’t particularly have beef with Binks’ decision, if he feels a move to the MLS is better for his immediate future then it’s his prerogative to make the move. I’m just more annoyed at how the club are losing and/ or failing to develop so many of our best youngsters over the last 18-24 months. It’s really disappointing because some of the talents we’ve lost I genuinely feel could’ve had some form of future here.
Apparently he said he only sign cos some creepy mofo, obsessed with Bruce Willis films and Jack Grealish had scared the **** outta him on twatter
Works for me! Was at Villa for that match, one of the best celebrations I've been part of when that goal went in, limbs were everywhere, my cousin ended up dropping two or three rows
Piatek Watch Krzysztof Piatek's wife Paulina, who for contextual reasons I will point out looks like this... ...has had to deny suggestions that she's the reason her husband opted to sign with Hertha Berlin instead of us due to her wanting to stay closer to her home, which is a pretty brave accusation for the tabloid hacks to make considering she's a lawyer
Newcastle loan signing Danny Rose says he was not given the same opportunities as his fellow defenders to prove himself to Jose Mourinho at Tottenham. The 29-year-old made 16 appearances for Spurs early in the season but only five after Mourinho became manager on 20 November. "I do feel I wasn't given as much of a chance as everybody else in the backline," the left-back told BBC Radio 5 Live. "I did want to play for him." The Doncaster-born player added: "I knew after a month [of Mourinho joining] I was never going to play. It was difficult going out to train knowing I wasn't going to play. "It's not worked out, but full respect to him and what he's doing at the club. He took over with the club 12 points adrift of Chelsea [now in fourth place] and now it's four. "I have to be honest, I thought I would continue playing" Rose had faced an uncertain future at Tottenham since last summer when he was left out of the squad for their pre-season tour of Asia in order for him to explore opportunities with other clubs. The full-back explained that he has struggled to regain the form he showed prior to a knee injury in January 2017 that required surgery and left him sidelined for nine months. He added: "I'd love to be the player I was three years ago when I was doing well. I thought I would return to become that player after the injury, but I had a rude awakening." Rose is now hoping this fresh opportunity at Newcastle will give him the chance to prove that he is worthy of a place in Gareth Southgate's England squad for Euro 2020. "I've been given a chance to play week in and week out," he said. "I want to play football again - with the Euros in the summer, I want to put myself in window. "If I go to Newcastle and do well they may think that's what's expected of me. But if I don't do well then they might think Tottenham were right to let me go. I have a lot riding on this, but I'm confident in my ability and I know I will do well."
Don't suppose we can get Montreal on the blower and discuss a Rose/Binks swap deal? We may need to bring our Italian phrasebook, just in case...
Unfortunately, he continues to launder his problems in public. He sees things only in relation to his own wants and not the needs of his manager, club owner or fans. If he asked someone who wasn't going to blow smoke up his arse, he'd have been told that he looks unfit, has been dreadful this season and his constant whining to the press makes people want him to leave. Coming out and saying that you intend to run your contract down isn't going to help either, Danny. The press aren't going to tell you the truth, they just want you to give them copy...the more controversial the better...and it's part of the reason why Spurs don't want you anymore, despite not having a fit replacement. Now, that's the reality of the situation.
Mourinho joined on November 20th. Rose played against Chelsea and then started against Liverpool over a month later. Can we hurry up and make this a permanent deal, please?
He's the Jess Phillips of our squad Remind me how popular Jess Phillips proved to be when she was expected to be something other than a rent-a-gob for yet another anti-Corbyn hit piece?
Think you're over-confusing your threads mate, but to be honest I'd rather have had Jess Phillips at LB than Rose on recent form and demeanour....
If any of you have a good ten minutes, would highly recommend reading this. For some of the older posters on here they may remember when I used to speak about Terry, had the chance of playing against him a few times and alongside him once, absolutely phenomenal talent and was leaps and bounds above anyone I’d seen from our age group. Genuinely believe if he didn’t get such cruel injuries he’d be as good as Kane, possibly even better. Would be great if he could try and mentor Parrott going forward, he was in his position just over a decade ago so knows what it’s like to be a prodigy.
I wonder how Krzysztof Piątek is feeling about the move now? https://www.football.london/tottenh...en-klinsmann-hertha-berlin-tottenham-17727179 I hope he's on a good wedge...
Klinsmann was always going to be temporary though and Piatek's used to it. Whoever replaces our former striker will be the Pole's 8th manager since he left his homeland in the distant past of 18 months ago...
How didn’t they back him? They spent a fair bit of money in January (more than anyone else in Europe if I’m not mistaken)
