Now one is a dependsive midfielder, the other more box to box. These stats are pretty similar yet you continue to attack Phillips with every opportunity. If you have a look at the stats and then select defensive you'll see where Phillips exceeds Klich.

Our defensive midfielder with less backward passes than our box to box guy but in genereal pretty similar in distribution but you only attack one, pretty sad. It is also Phillips job to distribute the play from left to right or right to left, he is the playmaker at the back but you'll never accept this despite Bielsa and others telling you otherwise.

For those without an agenda, I found it interesting how both our central midfield pair use the right channel more often, not by a massive margin but a noteable one.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news for you, Phillips has been included in the U23s tonight, he’s expected to walk straight back into the team after the Forest game

 

of course the player further forward has more players to pass back to than the dm... he also is more likely to receive the ball facing backwards, so you’d expect him to make a fair few backward passes. I’d say both sets of stats are good. If anything they highlight what a good/under-rated by many, player klich is... and the rather more obvious conclusion that Phillips does occasionally pass it forwards

 

I agree mate, I picked Klich out as he is never picked out for criticism by LL I’m just pointing out how even they are, both vitally important, both human and capable of an off day

Not so sure Phillips can play for u'23's before his suspension is finished. The ban is implemented by the FA/FL, u23's come under FA/FL ruling.....I will say I'm not up to scratch on that rule.

I answered your question/statement with, AM's make backward passes in the opponent's half near their goal, Phillips passes sideways and backwards in his own half, there's a huge difference which your infatuation refuses to see.
