Morning all. Clear blue sky and a light southerly wind, so looks like a fine day to get things done. Daughter has a car that will not start which sounds like battery problems, so could I possibly pop in and attach leads to my car and see what happens. Yesterday went to collect the wheel for Mme's car that had been repaired. A piece of barbed wire was in the tread of the tyre. Went into the garage who fitted it back on for me, stowed the spare in the cradle under the car, then refused any payment. Such a thing as service can still be found. Have a good day whatever you are doing.
And why is Rumania one of the best ? I thought that, according to you, the population was made up of pickpockets. So there we have it - if you want to be safe from crime surround yourself with Rumanians.
Daughters car made one effort to start, but then stopped again. Ruled out battery, so either the plugs are at fault or there is no fuel getting to them. At one time you could whip a plug out, see if it was damp with fuel, see if there was a spark, and sort it. Today looking under the bonnet I couldn't even see where the plugs are.
I agree that politics seems to creep into every thread. This is the Nest. We have recently had a big political thing in Watford Short Term News. It has to stop, ofh. Kick him off for increasing lengths of time till he learns. He can stand the occasional 24hr bans where he goes and tries to figure out which way round to sit on the toilet, but comes back each and every time and continues the trolling.
My days of digging around under cars and their bonnets are finished Andy. She can call the breakdown out who will no doubt take it to the garage we both use. It is the car she uses for collecting building materials and animal feed in, so she is not stuck without transport.
