I disagree about Maguire like. He's extremely inconsistent. Two or three good games, followed by two or three poor games. That'll be why he's not playing at a higher level.
Think you're kind of agreeing with me really - I disagreed about the "1 good 5 bad" which I'd said about Robson, Because I have seen Maguire have 2 or 3 good games on the bounce (something I haven't with Robson YET - hoping). When Maguire's on form he's unstoppable in this league - If he was a 9 good out of 10, he probably wouldn't be with us in this division though!
Ah right, get ya. In regards to Robson, I really like him, thought he played really well in a few games in the championship and then would get dropped for someone **** like Marc Wilson the next game. I remember him being our motm against Boro, then got dropped at Cardiff I believe, for ****ing Ndong, who promptly got sent off! Don't think he's really had a run of games for us which annoys me tbh. Injuries obviously haven't helped mind.
Marc Wilson honestly thought he was going to be a decent signing with experience etc!!! Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see him given a chance - I'm just not clamoring for it like some. When he is good, he's normally MOTM - Boro (as you say) & Hull stick out in my mind - I've never seen someone manage David Meyler as well as he did and he was everywhere in the home game against them! He's still here though so guess he may be getting some playing part. I like Dobson mind. Have seen him have some good games - he's one of the "4 good 1 bad" in every 5 - looking at twitter, most of our fans only remember his bad games!!
Sounds like we have differing opinions a bit, which is all good. Would be a dull place if everyone agreed! I don't rate Dobson tbh, for me he had two or three good for us few games ago. Just think he's slow of thought, always leaves his passes short. Plus he always looks like he's going to get sent off. I'm hoping Scowen starts on Saturday.
Maguire, rarely has a steady game, either brilliant or a liability. Now PP has options we should see a more tactical use of substitutions, and not leave players on for 85-90 mins. who are playing poorly. Its my opinion that Robson and Embleton are ready injuries permitting, to play a part this season in the first team set up, if only from the bench, only then will we know for certain, one way or another whether they are good enough.
Before the game at Portsmouth I thought Dobson should have been rested as he looked shot against Tranmere. OaU
That's one thing that annoys me a tad with Parkinson, whether it's subs during a game or choosing a game pre match, he's very reactive rather than proactive.
