Very unlucky tonight. The fitness levels are unbelievable, the scum premierside were dropping like flies 2nd half. The ref was shocking regarding bookings against us. Soft sending off .McKinstry was brilliant IMO.
True, but you could say that about all of the u23s! I count 4 who've played a lot for the u23s - Cresswell, Kenneh, Jenkins & McKinstry. You've also got to keep in mind that the u23s play in the PL Cup on Friday night. Wonder who'll play up top in that match. My guess - Big Kev puffing & panting through a 90 mins to test him.
What happened? What was the score? I lost the link & couldn't get it back. Didn't help that I was making the tea.
it seems we put Alioski in to Block the blockers on kiko (given he’s too short/lightweight to mark anyone) two games on the trot we’ve conceded as he’s either accidentally got in the way or been casually bumped into kiko by the intended blocker. Kiko needed to be much stronger but I think that tactic needs rethinking as it’s just creating more traffic. He’s more likely to get a free kick flapping around the opponents blockers than he is tripping over Alioski.
I have LUTV so watched the whole game. We were very unlucky. Our keeper was impressive as well. We had the chances but just couldn't finish. Their goal was well taken in the second half, but the lad who crossed it had too much space. The 1400 who got to the game were brilliant. Watch the highlights if you get the chance.
What with all the doom and gloom about recently I thought this might help clear the depression: please log in to view this image
All very valid points, particularly as you're completely right about affecting players (though stay off internet and you can't read or be affected) but then why make the signing in January? Supporters assume you bring players in in January who could make a difference in the 2nd half of the season and excite the 'faithful', if not why bother?
I didn't even know the game was on. It's not on the lists that I updated recently. Took me by surprise. Notice it was Big Henri that got the red. I thought he was a silly boy for the first yellow, but missed the second. Ironically, he might have got a run out for the u23s on Friday, as we're a wee bit short of u23 strikers. Edmondson injured, Kun T out on loan & Henri suspended. Can't see past Big Kev having to put in 90 mins now - which means he'll struggle to get 1st team game time on Saturday. Bound to be another wave of hate for Bielsa if that happens.
I have to say that the two black fellows were slow to react and were caught on the ball a lot. This isn't a confed opinion just what I watched.
If I'm honest, I don't know. Wouldn't pretend. I'm guessing we're hoping to play him asap, but as we discovered with Clarke, it's a big step up from the u23s to the 1st team, & an even bigger step up from being a sub to starting. Think he'll be nursed along by Bielsa. It would be so much easier to introduce him if we were 3 or 4 up at 70 mins a few times. Btw, re. the players being affected by t'internet - it's not really the players themselves that go on, as far as i can see. It's family members & close friends going on to defend them. I was part of one thread where Edmondson's sister came on & tore the 'fans' apart, telling them they were fantasising & making stuff up. She was really fiery. If only I was 40 years younger, 8 stone lighter, better looking, & single! I've seen Clarke's dad do the same & been told that he's the fantasist & liar when he's reported clear fact about his son. Numbnuts!
Don't think so because after the U23 game (taken from reports from those that saw it) most seem to accept that he is way off the pace for a championship match. See my earlier post, many, me included, thought we would buy players in January ready to go straight in if needed.
