Looks like Sess as a forward and GLC rested to the extent that he’s not even in the squad...surprised he’s not on the bench. Cirkin, Skippy and Parrott all make the matchday squad. Big game for Dier to show he’s still up to it and hopefully Tanguy proves he can play 90 mins too
No Gio and Lamela in the squad. Lamela not being in means he’s injured as he’d 100% start this one otherwise. Gio not being in the squad hopefully means he’s rested. Edit: Gio has a thigh injury. **** sake.
Update: twitter confirms GLC and Lamela are both injured, thigh and groin respectively. Hopefully they’re not serious or particularly with GLC’s, we’re in trouble.
Gio's injury is probably the result of him barely playing for months and then suddenly being run into the ground every week. Lamela's is sadly par for course. I'm a bit concerned about that line-up. Huge question marks over Dier against PL-level opposition and Maureen explicitly said that Tanguy isn't ready for a full 90 mins which means he'll inevitably come off with a chunk of the game still to play. We're extremely thin on the ground and it shows. This mini break couldn't have come at a better time.
