Interesting Gay Kellaway sends one over to Ludlow not saying he’s a betting proposition at infact I’m saying her runners definitely not a bet in the last 5Years she has had 5 runners over hurdles and one in a bumper! None have won and none have placed <laugh>

Venetia Williams is 43,55 % with her handicap chasers in the money at Ludlow over the last 5 seasons. She runs Elixier Du Guiet in the 3.15. Her only runner at this track today. Last week won a similar type for her after a long absence (Ibleo). Unfortunately for each way purposes there are only 7 runners.

    Ludlow 2.45 Liberty Bella

Some sound performances in more competitive races than today this season. 2nd of this mark and a cd winner. Should be able to take a race like this for her small stable.

I’ve backed a couple of in-form Tony Carroll runners at Wolverhampton, who are turned out quick enough to be in the mix.

    17.05 Foresee 15/8
    18.10 Knockabout Queen 100/30

    Ludlow 3.45 Tronada

I'm considering of taking the two market leaders on with Tronada. A fair maiden on the flat with an encouraging staying on 4th at Warwick on hurdling debut ( the 2nd Palladium a 2 times winner for Henderson since, the winner finished 4th of 8 in a grade 1 at Chepstow after that race). There are smart stats for Alan King over hurdles at Ludlow over the last 5 seasons:

56,25 % in the money in non handicap hurdles.

Stable form is ok with a winner in the last 14 days.

At 6/1 on offer recently its worth an each way bet.

a very tough race, and one I’m happy to swerve. The interest for the race is for the future for me, a few of these look like decent horses on paper and hopefully we get to see something decent from the race.
The form probably will be drawn around Red Archangel who is rated 120.

At Ludlow in the finale Ship Of The Fen seems to be a bit overpriced given his flat ability and last time 4th over hurdles at this track. Before that 8th of 11 at Cheltenham but that wasn't a bad performance on debut. Could sneak a place at least at 20/1 on offer at the moment.

In the 4.45 at Ludlow, I think King Erik @ 16/1 could be running into a place. Pauling's only runner, de Boinvilles only ride of the meeting. 2nd run after Wind op, first time tongue-tie, all could pay dividends.

Just seen on the racing post pages...

'Racing at Kempton will continue for the foreseeable future after the Jockey Club announced on Wednesday it has submitted a scaled down housing development programme that protects both race tracks'.

    Good news eh?

    Bolt N Brown Won 25/1
Took keen hold, made virtually all, set slow pace, wandered on approach 3rd, increased tempo and 7 lengths ahead 4th, mistake but 20 lengths ahead 4 out, ridden before 3 out, hung right and reduced lead when mistake 2 out, kept on, always doing enough (op 100/1 tchd 28/1) <laugh> <ok>
