Not a big fan of Whelans, don't who it was but someone kept referring to him as a Leeds Legend last season. I agree with some that Whelan is passionate about Leeds, but he also has a radio spot. Very hard these days to just go out and play a game of football, tactics and players roles play a big part, as does big bollockings at halftime. If we win scrappy, fans accept it, if we win dirty, fans accept it, if we win against the run of play, fans accept it....in that regard Whelans right but, but every team must have some sort of game plan. I've said it before a couple of times, we can play the best football and have the most possession, if we can't put ball in onion bag then all the good football was for nothing.............but, then people start saying we played good football and dominated for most of game...........is that a positive observation, yes and no cos everyone else saw the good football as well. Recognising the positives in the game is recognition itself. Recognising we have a striker problem........that's a positive........recognising we have winger problems.......that's a positive etc etc.................recognising a negative is a positive. While we have a go at individual players, everything comes back on Bielsa's shoulders, his responsibilities, his burdens, his duties.........He picks same team, same players, uses same tactics, rearranges deckchairs on Titanic, and expects different results. Bielsa is a pattern on legs. Everything he does has the same pattern to it over and over again, a pattern that has become obvious to most fans, most opposing coaches, and most opposing players...............as they say, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results........even inventors don't do that. Those top coaches with the top teams in prem are there cos they don't use same tactics and same players game in game out. We obviously have a problem with scoring, so, looking at our so called main scorers, nearly Bamford, dribble round everything Harrison and copy Harrison Costa we recognise 3 negatives rolled into one, they ain't scoring........If they ain't scoring, replace'em. Alioski onto left or right wing, Poveda onto right or left wing, JKA as main striker, I guarantee our scoring will improve virtually every game. Walking ball into net is a tactic used every game, you can even see our attacking mids looking for gaps at edge of box to pass through instead of taking long shots. We know Klich and Pablo can score from around edge of box, so why not give'em free licence again to shoot on sight, more goals will come. This season is following the same pattern as last season, Bielsa's regular pattern sticks out like balls on a bitch. I said at the halfway point last season, same this season that teams will work us out, catch us out and come at us from the off. The majority are stopping us playing good football and packing their defences to stop us scoring, and we don't have any answers cos Bielsa doesn't have a plan B or trains the players to change their mode of attack or way of thinking. Bielsa is predictable, all we can do is hope we get promoted this season, to do so Bielsa needs to change some things, including himself. .
If we don't go up now it will be all your fault, for putting negative vibes on social media, I was going to say the same but didn't want to go prison.
My own thoughts on absent “Friends” People do what they want usually because they have nothing to contribute or have been getting wound up over something or other The cleaver people just walk away for a while nothing wrong with that With regard to Glory what I did not like was the speed of which everything was done I was in the middle of a conversation with him then nothing I am not very keen on banning people and everyone needs to realise it takes two to tango we all have the option to ignore what we don’t like As it’s mid week this is my positive contribution for today
I agree with probably 50% of this which is an improvement Just a comment about playing good quality football... If we played poor quality football week in and week out I don’t believe we’d be second. I see it as the goals will come by law of averages if the chances keep flowing. I agree we can improve that by changing personnel and I’m hoping Poveda and Augustin provide those much needed goals. When I comment about the football being good and the team creating chances it’s more I’m relieved that the fix isn’t a major one. The majority of the players are playing well as a team. For me, change Kiko who is making too many mistakes and replace Bamford, then I’d review it. It might be we need to revert back to last season having a number 10 I’d also try swapping Costa and Harrison to opposite sides. Another thing I’d do would be to get one or both of our CBs doing nothing but practicing heading corners (attacking)
Just looked at his profile (Doc), he has been checking in. Billy has always been a sporadic poster, he’s changed his avatar to Cape Town FC not sure what that’s about. We’ve got to the critical point of the season now so we’re all Rose Tinted or Wrist Slashers, Glass half full or empty, I’m just about Rose Tinted at the moment because on the fence isn’t allowed None of us want a repeat of last seasons crash and I’m sure many are just venting in frustration which gets maybe too much for some?
I’ll have you know I’m happily perched on the fence. Too much good stuff has been played to get down but equally too many unknowns like the new signings to get ecstatic either. One game at a time
I'll be happy when you start posting again Doc, I enjoyed your input Spoke to Glory at the Wendies game and he's having a ball stirring it on Twatter, so all good there - I said at the time I felt the board would be weaker without his peculiar flavour of bulls***, and I still think that. Billy will be back when he sees fit with his excellent positivity, and the floor's so covered in dummies I can't even tell which one is Jammy's - come back soon pal. As for glass full/empty, I look forward to the last game in May so I can tell my grand-kids I was there when we lifted the Championship trophy - where does that put me? Still very annoyed about Saturday though.
With all due respect 2pennth going by your join date May2016 you weren't around from 2011 when stuff was going on.
I'm slightly positive, but will be very angry if we don't try the new lads soon, we are failing and for me, doing nothing shouldn't be an option after last season.
The good thing about the Florist game is that they are under pressure to get results like us. So hopefully it may work in our favour...
