Strange, how accident prone goalkeepers never get cult followings like accident prone defenders do... #owngoalatwembley
Up to a point I agree with this. But that wage he is on might be too much in league 1, but in the Championship I get the impression for 8k, you get people like the Nabster, or pale imitations. We're going to have to accept the wage bill is going to go up a lot if we want to be competetive in the Championship. Nabster makes maistakes, but that is true of all of our defenders. Perfection is a rare commodity in this level of football.
I'd have shared the responsibility between both of them, but I've seen that goal more times than I care to admit (the final result makes it just an amusing anecdote) and for me Dillon was too casual. It hit Naby's confidence, we were better when he went off, but the actual goal was more a goalkeeping error. And for the record, I don't want to change Dillon either.
None of our defenders can pass a ball like him, can ping a 30 40 yard pass no problem. Hes also very clumsy at times but then again so is Pearce.
His long crossfield passes come off, say about 40% of the time? They often go straight out for a throw-in. But he only attempts them when there is nothing else on, he always looks for the shorter pass first. He'd do well on Strictly.
All his Christmas's came at once when he signed on the dotted line. It is no surprise he has kept his head down and seen out the length of his contract. His next one will have a nought missing.
Sarr’s first responsibility is to keep the ball out of our onion bag. For a big bloke, he isn’t the best or the bravest in the air. He got absolutely bullied at Millwall this season, and was personally culpable for us losing that game. You can never shake off the feeling that another costly error is just round the corner. Is Sarr worthy of being the highest paid player in our current squad ....no ....embarrassing. The boy has had a good screw out of us ...well over a million in wages for not very much in return. Only the numpties are now giving him cult status.
QPR away this season....Preston ....it’s only “the Dog Walker” who rates him ....probably because he was watching Sarr’s performance from the home end that day
Should be signed up, but I doubt if it will happen, but seems to be a Bowyer favourite (which must make him a numpty) so you never know .
Sarr has had to play LB through necessity. Purrington has lost form, & ESI didn’t provide the funds in January for a new one.
If he wanted an extra defender I'm sure he would have got one instead of the extra midfielder, Sarr rarely plays as an out and out LB .
