DMT??? You sure about that. Never heard of it once in hundreds of cases. LSD and similar yes but not DMT. That's half the reason it's so popular because it's extremely trustworthy.

100 percent mate. It ****ing ruined him, couldn't even bring himself to talk about it until months down the line. LSD used to be used to treat MH conditions in the 50's didn't it? Maybe it's a generational/quality thing but every time I've done acid although ****ed I still know who/where I am etc. and I also know loads of people who've had bad trips but been fine the next day. The lad in question had done a lot of bad **** over his life which is partly why I think he ****ed up, probably carries loads of guilt which his ego wouldn't show consciously.

Not sure then tbh mate. Maybe its simply someones chemical makeup and occasionally any substance can imbalance that for good. I'm extremely lucky to still be alive, let alone still 100% functioning. If anything drugs made me wiser, as weird as that sounds!

At the risk of sounding like a terrible old fart, the quality of LSD available before Operation Julie - google it if you don't know - meant it was almost a different drug to anything available since. LSD is difficult to synthesise, and very unstable so it deteriorates quickly. Doses are measured in micrograms (1 millionth of a gram) rather than milligrams (one thousandth of a gram). The chemists producing the stuff in the UK in the 70's, and California in the 60s, were some of the most brilliant scientists of their respective generations. Setting up a lab to produce acid is a complex procedure beyond the capability of your average criminal operation, and much more difficult than producing amphetamines, MDMA etc. The microdots doing the rounds in the 70s - one tab made coherent thought impossible, and put you completely at the mercy of the experience - certainly didn't compare to anything I ever came across in the 80s or 90s. Taking 5 or 6 blotters in the 80s didn't create the same effect as one microdot in the 70s either, because the concentration of the dose rather than the quantity ingested was what created the psychic breakthrough.
Any psychoactive substance has the possibility to **** you up forever, there are no 'safe' drugs, just some that are safer than others, anyone who says different is fooling themselves. And that's without contamination for profit.
