Tanganga signed a 5 year deal too. Spurs just typically taking an age to officially announce both his and Parrott’s deals.

Hopefully these reports are true and he'll start getting time on the pitch now, starting with Wednesday.

New signings can’t play in replays. Have to be registered for the original tie.

    Ah, didn't know that cheers.

Just goes to show how long it's been since

    A) We signed someone of significance in January, and

    B) We were still in the cup post January.

Does indeed sound like Binks has left on a permanent. He’s currently training with Montreal Impact, someone also suggested he’s signed for Bologna and is going on loan at Montreal. Either way, looks like we’ve lost yet another highly rated youngster.

    ****ing brilliant.

PL clubs have voted in favour of moving the summer transfer window back to a Sept 1st deadline.

Entirely unsurprising. The initiative to close the window before the season started was only ever going to work if the rest of Europe fell in line. They didn't, it all got a bit messy, and so the conclusion became inevitable.

Shame it didn't happen last summer. Just think, we could now be sitting watching Bruno and Dybala banging in the goals with Poch urging them on from the touchline.

Sorry but if he's moving to literally a pub team, what makes us think for a moment he'd every succeed in the PL?

The obvious thing to mention is that Montreal have the same owner as Bologna, and by sheer coincidence every season they get a couple of Bologna youngsters on loan

In other words, it's a small-scale version of what the Taurine FC clubs have been doing for a few years

a mid-table Serie A team has loaned him out to a mid-table MLS team. That's the long and short of it and probably the measure of his actual ability at senior level. He isn't the first and certainly won't be the last promising youngster who drifts off into relative obscurity instead of making it at PL level.

At a guess, since I tried reading MLS's rules about loans but my eyes glazed over, Bologna intended to sign Binks and loan him to Montreal - but as Montreal already have two Bologna players on loan, if that fills their quota (and given teams such as NYC FC and the New York Red Bulls aren't stuffed with players loaned from their bigger brothers like they were a few years ago, this is feasible) they're gaming the system by having Montreal sign him before he moved on to Bologna at a later date

It's similar to how Jack Harrison was parked at NYC FC a couple of years ago, but once the season was done he was quickly whisked off to The Sheikh Mansour Team's academy

Shares the same agent as Henry who’s their gaffer.

Likely been guaranteed first team appearances and seeing as we have Dave, Toby and now Tanganga, not forgetting Jan and Foyth, I presume Binks felt his path to our first team was just too packed. Though baring in mind Jan will likely be gone in a few months, Foyth’s future is up in the air and Toby won’t be a starter for the rest of contract, there would’ve likely been a path for him in a year or two.

Sad to lose a young player with his reputation but we need to remember not all these kids are 100% Spurs , to him it's a job ( albeit one most people on this board would give their right arm for ) and as DH points out he is way behind in the pecking order at this time , when an agent offers you this move it would hard to resist , good luck to him and hope he makes a career out of it unless he ends up at le arse or the chavs in which case hope he has a mare
