Atletico. Not sure what they are doing with this one. Less than 12 months ago this horse was racking up RPRs in the 90s over sprint distances and prior to that he had hit the 100s a few times, over sprint distances. In his last 22 races 20 of them have been over 7f or further. Tomorrow he runs over 7f yet again, a distance over which he has been clocking up RPRs in the 70s at best. By Kodiac out of a Pivotal mare I would have thought sprinting was his game. Maybe at 8yo he is regressing but I notice he is in fact entered on Thursday in a 6f race at the scene of his last victory. On his 4 runs at Newcastle he achieved RPRs of 96, 90, 97 and 103 If he has an easy run tomorrow and turns out again on Thursday, that could be what he is being lined up for
Quantum of Solace tomorrow. I think that hurdles run last time was to put her spot on for this race. Yet she stayed on the best and won nicely enough in the end.
I like Goldslinger in the 1.25 at Sedgefield. Was a selection here on the forum more than one time this season. Last run at the track gave the impression return to a longer trip like todays could suit. Is 2lb below last winning mark. Not out of it for each way purposes I think.
Maybe its interesting to know for you what Tim Vaughn told Attheraces in his stable tour last month about Len Brennan who runs today in the 2.25 at Sedgefield: "He is a very tough and consistent horse and has always been in the places. He won nicely at Sedgefield in November but I ran him back a bit too quick and he is having a nice break now. He will be back again in the next fortnight and we are most likely to keep him to novice hurdles."
Very interesting one Ron looked at this yesterday afternoon and picked it out for a good chance . Run very well over 7f and 8f in last 2 races in very respectable times at lingfield. In September Atletico lost over c/d on the line . That race seen them beat Brigham young by a good margin who is on worse terms whereas Atletico s mark is down by 3 . Curtis is thrown in the plate for the first time who holds is own very well around this distance .The 11/2 on offer is not ew friendly showing the crookies are holding a bit of respect. The double could be on the cards in my opinion Ron
A very competetive, if not high quality race this one Ron. Atletico could very well go in and at one time looked potentially decent. It's not a race I'd probably tackle, looks a bit of a tricky one to figure out but my tentative vote would go to the Appleby horse Kamra. Best of luck

Sedgefield 4.05 Lammturner One of only 2 course and distance winners in this line up which is interesting given this strong test of stamina. Eyecatching return from a break at Newcastle 2 runs ago when keeping on strongly in 4th. Clearly something was amiss last time out at Market Rasen when pulled up (but there was some market support before the race). Has been given a short break after that. No forlorn hope for each way purposes.

It’s a long way from Pandy to Newcastle!! The yard have only had 53 runners at Newcastle on the all weather, and only 3 winners! so I don’t think it’s likely we will see him travelling north.
Not being a Cock-en-nee this is not something that I could possibly comment on. However, I have heard ‘The Foxhunters’ referred to as ‘The Billy Bunter’s’ on several occasions. Am guessing this is because most of the human participants both look and ride like him. Keeping on this theme that race is also described as being one for ‘mug punters’.
