I found some microsoft points that I bought ages ago and never used for some reason, and I thought about what to to buy it on. After having a look, I decided to get that EA Sports Season Ticket. I get Fifa 12 on the 25th (5 days early) and there is discounts on all things EA. Good choice?
Well to be honest, the game isn't all about the players abilities. On Fifa 11 i was scoring most of my 1v1's, and unless your players finishing is like 50 because he's a LB, if you're good at finishing you can score goals with almost anyone. If we bang on about players being too good, then all that will happen is the player using the best team will win despite being ****e at the game, and a pro could lose with an average team against them. The difference in the quality should matter, but not way too much. I fear that finishing without the top class players will be hard.
Yeah, they've really nerfed finishing and a bit too much for my liking to be honest. It's almost impossible to score Ashley Young style curlers any more and that's judging by the demo with the likes of Barcelona and Milan, hate to think what the lower teams would be like. Finesse shot was originally overpowered but they've brought it down far too much.
Agreed. I'd rather it be a bit too easy than a bit too hard for enjoyment. I can still do it on the Fifa 12 demo, but i miss more often now and it's annoying. Finesse shots were only easy if you were good at the game, or if you used a team with good players. I used Newcastle and beat most people using 5 star teams. Yeah they scored 1 or 2 piss easy goals with their elite players, but i beat them overall because i was a better player, and most players on Fifa 11 couldn't do the finesse shots anyway. Most players resorted to smashing the ball and hoping the ball went in, or relied on David Villa to do the finishing for them after they pressed B in the box. Finesse shots were easy for a good player, but not for most people. The better players usually won games. I won about 80% of my online games, and never lost to anyone using a weaker team than mine.
What's with FIFA Ultimate team?!! They've included Donaldson and Edmundsson but not Sammy or Vuckic who are miles higher up the pecking order! Also Pardew now has a card

Ferguson is included, it's possible that the other two will show up sometime, I'm only going by what I can find up for trade. Although I don't think Sammy is in the game at all.. Better come in the Autumn squad update (or post-transfer window).
Is he definitely on it though? The lists of the players ratings, dunno whether legitimate or not, don't include Sammy! Hope to god he is though! Probably 70 for me to be honest, but he won't be much higher than a 68 if included I don't think.
Is it? I'd say his long pass should be around 84/85, short pass 84, long shots 86, shot power 85 Dribbling i'd say maybe 76/77? He's not that great at dribbling, decent enough for CM.
I don't understand why he wouldn't be, he's done more to get himself noticed than any of the other younguns now really, after that cracker in the Carling Cup
