Pretty bored so thought I'd start a thread that could kick off some decent discussion.

Obviously most pundits these days are ex footballers but have you ever considered which players in our current squad could become pundits in the future?

For some reason I can imagine Krul sitting on the MOTD sofa in about 20 years time. He just has that persona about him, the way he talks, the way he moves, things like that which are noticeable in some of his interviews.

I would also love it if Cabaye could become the next Ginola pundit wise, Ginola is good craic. :emoticon-0103-cool:

Could imagine Shola being Alan Shearer v2 and spout clichés whilst constantly pointing out the obvious while he sends people to sleep with his voice. <laugh>

Ferdinand hasn't got the intelligence, could see Solano becoming a pundit. Walcott seems an intelligent bloke so him as well.

He wants to be a coach, he just strikes me as the type who end up being a pundit though.

I agree with you 100% can just imagine him being desperate to stay on our screens. Scholes should have been a pundit IMO.

I know he doesn't play for us, but the funniest current player I've seen on match of the day is DJ Campbell! They must have found him lurking around the London Studios, because he;d replaced Paul Robinson, but his mannerisms were hilarious, and his voice was not what I was expecting to come out of a guy who looked so radgy! <laugh>

For us, I think the best pundit would be Harper, he has that look about him

Too shy, was always a quiet bloke who didn't really like the media.

    Thiiiis.

Higginbotham's been doing a few appearances here and there so maybe...?

I guess it's about intelligent footballers really.. though Lawro seems to have slipped through the net

Of course Tiote is out of the question considering his image is not allowed to be broadcast with the exception of match days aka the day of worship...
