I pointed out how you literally kill threads. You don't need to repeat, repeat and repeat and shut us all down for just discussing the thread. What's the point even being here if we know you'll just respond. "Small club, stop discussing and get over it." Let the others have a post ffs.
now this is reasonable at least you see the debate and dont start thinking your graham from jeremy kyle. i see big clubs and the rest... we are the 9th biggest in england, so as I was talking world wide i feel im entitled to see us as a small club.
Only in your opinion, which is often wrong And who cares? Big club, little club blah blah. Chelsea and Man City were little clubs before they got money
thats acceptable and yes its my opinion based on success .. what they were doesnt detract from what they are now. we used to be a big club
How? By your own logic and opinion - which is wrong. How were we once a big club? We haven't won a single trophy in the modern era. We had a few Champions League runs, but you don't like cup runs anyway. Factually you're incorrect, you can post again and again it's your opinion. But that comes down my singular main point stop shoving your opinion down our throat
ok ill answer firstly because 50 years has passed since we won anything , so given we are the 9th most successful team that suggests back then we would have been much higher than 9th . secondly the size of a fanbase ie ticket sales etc were what made us a big club, but rightly or wrongly that doesnt matter now. you keep saying im factually wrong while saying its only my opinion.. so youre saying youre factually right about your opinion btw i hope that helps. look i dont see us as a big club and i shouldnt see us as a small club, however due to our owner having a small club mentality thats how i see us as a club today. i said it once ... its a topic if debate ... i didnt come on here as you imply to wind anyone up... thats simply how I see it ... and if you read it It makes sense whether you agree or simply dislike it or not stop being a worky ticket mate ... ive not been unpleasant to you because I have come to like your banter.. you wine like a mule this time of the month
The whole "big club" argument is utterly facile, especially these days. I've been in south-east Asia these past few months and I can report that about 50% of folk here support ManU, 40% Liverpool, 5% Chelsea, 5% Arsenal or ManC. They support them because they are rich, have massive marketing, win things repeatedly, are always on tv and the internet, and have star players. In the Middle East it's a similar story, but with a much higher percentage support for Arsenal and ManCity. They may be 'big', however you wish to measure it, but I have an issue with the word 'club' to describe ManUtd especially: they're more like Coca-Cola than CarlisleUtd.
im just wondering if I'm allowed to debate with you or whether the fresh prince of wales will make haste to suppress me once again. there's bigger clubs than us hopefully i can get away with saying that much.
Now saying that the Saudi Prince still wants to buy ManU and that despite being told no, it remains his priority. £250000 is pocket change, if this access fee is true at all. Thing l don’t get is this. If these high profile individuals are named and linked with buying the club, including Stavely again, and it’s all bullshit. Why don’t they just issue an official statement saying so. I can’t believe that these people would just ignore fake news about them or be playing along with some silly bollocks promoted by the Ashley PR machine. Ashley claims to be sick of details being leaked, but who is leaking them? Do you think anyone associated with or employed by the Saudis would dare, so it seems it comes from within. Does he protest too much? Who knows, but l wish this nonsense would stop.
This narrative that Ashley is to blame when various, often potless, chancers, often with form, attempt to buy the club, really does not stand up to investigation. Manchester United was effectually brought with it's own money! Loathe him or despise him, Ashley doesn't do instalments. There is no reason why he would change that. Keys is correct, if these people (or the Russian group, or the American group etc), actually have the money and want the club, I believe they will get it. We're told this is pocket money for the Saudi guy. Just as the Sun pretend journalists came up with the Benitez back to Newcastle story for a laugh, the media is responsible for all sorts of bollocks to sell papers (Longstaff to Manchester etc.). When not much is happening, they recycle stuff they've used before. Story breaks in an American newspaper, suddenly other papers are claiming they have known about it but not published (yeah right!), suddenly up pops 2 other consortiums and you guys claim it's all Ashley. Apart from hanging on until we win the cup this year, why would he not want to sell? He ain't making any real money out of it and the way he is treated is hardly good for his actual money making empire reputation. if you like, this is like the Captain's scattering approach to facts. 95% of the time, it's all bollocks, sometimes, there is an element of truth, once every blue moon, he comes up with a gem. Alternatively, if an infinite number of monkeys sat at typewriters, at least one of them would reproduce a work of Shakespeare.
I’m convinced there is some interest and that Ashley has leaked the info to get everyone into a bidding war.... ... just before he managed to create the circumstances in which once again a deal falls through and he can claim to be a willing seller when he isn’t...
I believe the asking price isn't a problem to anyone it's the after sale conditions that are causing the problem and you only have to see the goings on at Rangers to realise that.
