Sorry about that, but unfortunately I think Brexit is pure folly. What’s the old saying “an idea without a plan, is just a wish” and I’ve seen nothing to convince me there has ever been a coherent plan. On a side note, I did eventually give up trying to post any kind of opinion on that thread as “alternative opinions beyond all leavers are racist thicko’s” were not tolerated.

Jokes aside, @lardiman would make an excellent new Mod on ITTV. He’s even tempered & fair, and goes to the home games so can comment from first hand experience. One of the many reasons that ITTV is a joke is that neither Reams or Inkblot live in London, let alone go to a game between them.

On the subject of moderating, I would say that the task of being a mod and the calling of being the 'driving force' or 'cultural leader' of a fans forum are two quite different things - even though both jobs can be done by the same person sometimes. I think Inkblot is a very good moderator, and there are probably very few other living Charlton fans with such a lifetime of experience and memories under their belt. He looks after things in a modest, under-stated way.
Don’t undersell yourself @lardiman - you would make an excellent Mod. I have asked a pal over on ITTV to put you forward. I have often considered you for the title of Deputy Moderator on this forum if @Beware of the Virus ever accidentally steps in front of a London bus (which hopefully will be soon).
On a serious note @lardiman , if you do become the Mod on ITTV, I am always at the other end of the phone should you need Mod advice The key attributes to being a successful Global Moderator are as follows - You mustn’t be Welsh Or a p1ss head Or support Cardiff Going to more than one Charlton game a season is also a definite advantage.
