Bielsa keeps saying how good Povida is in training, how good the team must have been yesterday, to keep him off the pitch. (must have been when I went for a pee)

I was not excusing Pats resentment but a lot of posts seem to think its only him missing chances.

Other teams are only doing one thing better than us, maybe two... They are converting their limited chances better and their keepers are better and saving the shots.

You single out Harrison yet in every aspect his stats are better than Costa, you complain Ayling is caught forward yet you ignore Alioski for doing the exact same, quite strange. Me personally, I blame all of our attackers.

Either way, all this getting caught too far forward, they still mustered just the two shots so it couldn’t have been that bad. It’s the same with Phillips, any player you dislike you claim they should be covering every blade of grass.

What did you make of Costa, social media is laying into his performance yesterday, his game stats were poor, was it down to him or someone else’s fault?

Don't think that's the case at all, but if we need to push for an improvement, you start with the worst problem, then Casilla and so on till we improve, what is for sure, if we do nothing it's not likely to change.

Yes it's as plain as can be to those watching without the rose tinted specs. I wanted us to smash Wigan but we failed miserably.

Due to Bielsa having a love affair with small Jack `Helder Costa is playing on the wrong side which is plain to see.

Last week I read Costa is playing better as Pablo is in the team, now he is playing on the wrong side. It doesn’t answer why Harrison has better stats in every department than Costa yet it is Harrison who receives more dog abuse (well until yesterday when the mob have turned on Costa).

I just find it strange certain players can be singled out when they’re better than a face that fits.

Oh dear, another game we shouldn't have lost :( far too many errors all over the park.

    Positives

We were the better team but that doesn't say a lot as Wigan are a set of big lumps with little quality
Klich, at least he tried to drive us forward.
White the only defender who seems to know the art of defending.
    We created chances.
Harrison's little dribble & unlucky shot hitting a post.
Also Jack's cross for Bamford's flying header blocked by a defender.
    Roberts fit again.

    Negatives - FAR TOO MANY!!!

Lost three of of our last four games to poor/average teams, not a single point
So many missed chances....same old problem
How did Jack miss yet another open goal.
    Bamford's first-half shocking effort
Alioski, Dallas & Costa all shooting over the bar.
Costa shocker, did he actually beat the first man once with his crossing.
Alioski's two inept crosses when we were in a great position
Another scrappy goal conceded, clean sheets seem to be a essential aspect of defending of the past.
Kiko flapping like a bird at the back post.
Ayling misjudging the pace of the ball trying to run it out for a goal-kick, conceding a corner TWICE.
We concede far too many senseless corners.
    Pablo not on song.
    We lack a leader.
    Team selection.
Why was Augustin not even on the bench.
We started & finished with Dallas whilst we have three midfielders in Poveda, Shackleton & Roberts on the bench.
So Big Kev & Poveda are not fit enough to play a part but the injury prone Roberts who has been injured for three months comes on as a sub.
When we required something different, nothing happened.
We miss Phillips who orchestrates play from the back.
Have we learned any lessons over the last eighteen months?

    Ratings

    3 Casilla
    5 Ayling
    7 White
    6 Cooper
    4 Alioski
    5 Dallas
    4 Costa
    7 Klich
    5 Hernandez
    6 Harrison
    4 Bamford
    Sub
    6 Roberts

We've got Harrison and Costa as wingers and Pablo who was a winger, and Ayling and Alioski who like to play as wing backs, all crossing but can't find our 1 man with 4 defenders on him, they must be ****.
Maybe if we played Povida as well, that would be 6 wingers, can see why he wouldn't play Eddie, never went out wide enough.

As a matter of interest 64 wouldn’t mind seeing your players ratings averaged over season so far. They’re usually pretty spot on in my opinion. I’ve a fair idea at this stage which ones would be near bottom if the ratings and the ones nearer the top

I know you weren't WC.<ok> You're right though, there are other culprits missing chances to, but, and I'm sorry to keep repeating myself, Bamford is paid to score goals. <ok>

In a packed penalty area, the best way to score from crosses is in the air, see our problem now, Costa and Harrison would both be player of the season at millwall imo.

We’re just going round in circles mate. I agree we have problems converting the chances but it’s a team issue which suggests it’s a confidence matter.

The same team and coach got us to the top, I just find some of the suggestions on here being nowhere near logical, more desperation and hope. If they’d all worked us out we wouldn’t have made it to the top, they’d have learned from last season too.

I want to see Bamford replaced, I want to see Kiko replaced, I wanted to see Nketiah start ahead of Bamford and when he did for the second time I thought “oh, that’s why Bielsa doesn’t start with him”.

I wanted Bamford, Costa and Alioski yanked off at half time against Millwall, they played great in the second half so what do I know compared to Bielsa. Hindsight is a great gift.
