Most shots off target this season in championship : Patrick Bamford (53) Most headed shots off target this season in championship : Patrick Bamford (23) Most 'big chances' missed this season in championship : Patrick Bamford (20)
I've heard this said by a few people now & admittedly didn't take the time to think it through properly. Then today, there was a guy called in to Radio Leeds, stating the Bamford was 'Boro's POTY one year - playing #10! Haven't checked this out, but if it's true, then it lends heavily to your argument. (Then again, a Bielsa #10 might be a completely different animal to a Pullis #10, I guess). Anyone have any 'Boro contacts to find out what position(s) that he actually played for them & what he was best at?
Well I can see Bamford isn't, Edmondson played in the 1st team 2 seasons ago and can't get on the bench, good in the air and we have no player good in the air, so why not, what has Bielsa learned from last season ? I can't see anything, we are doing exactly as we did then,we conceded exactly the same goal today as Tuesday, back post free headers.
Bielsa only believes what is in his head but not what anyone can see. Wigan coach knew how to stifle us and combined with our pathetic finishing saw us lose.
That says it all, best team with the worst striker. Fans have stuck by him, but I think today, many have had enough, lots shouting get the ****er off today, only ever heard odd one before and they are always shouted down, not today, and for the record, I've never once shouted abuse at him, only ever sang his name, still won't slag him at games but I no longer believe he's good enough.
Tend to agree. Today, one of our players (Dallas?) had a shot that trickled into the 'keeper's hands. Think he slipped. I said to the bloke next to me "Guess that'll count as a shot on target, ridiculous as it is", to which he replied "And it'll be recorded as a missed chance too". Which I guess it was, but a slip is not ineptitude though, is it? But stats are stats!
But still 7th top scorer, above him Bowen sold, grabban missed a pen today, wells sold, He frustrates al of us, but is not the only culprit, the midfield dont score enough, and lets facts, the only one with true class is Pablo.
https://www.beinsports.com/au/efl-championship/team/player/2019/10/2/106617 He converts 12.9% of his chances
And no one but a fool would judge anyone on 1 missed chance, but 22nd out of 24 teams this season and as we all know, the same last season isn't bad luck, we are becoming Jap Stams Reading, pass it around a lot then lose to teams who have 2 shots.
Bowen played for a team that created very little, how many do you think Bowen would have scored at Leeds, I think 30-40.
Interesting Jock. Along similar lines of something I’ve mentioned many a time. Not one of our players can kick a ball properly. I’m sure you realize that maybe more than me As you witness it first hand every home game
