--------------Casilla-------------- Stevens---Berardi--White--Dallas Costa--Hernandez--Poveda--Harrison ------Augustin---Bamford Having two forwards will take some defenders away from Bamford and give him some some. Poveda would play a number 10 role which we have really missed since Saiz left RESTED Ayling Klich
No sorry but the system isn't fine, at school they thought me. If the keepers **** in the air and ours is, always have someone on the back post, now early season we did and if I'm not wrong it was Bamfords job,who told them to stop doing this, Millwall had a free header at an open goal, nearly scored another, did we learn from this ? No Wigan scored exactly the same goal, starting to realise why Bielsa never wins anything, great at improving players but tactics seem to be lacking, you may think well what does he know, but it's not just me, everyone sat around me seems to see the same problem, several said when they got the corner here we go back post goal, can anyone tell me a striker who misses as many chances as Bamford, because after the game I tried to think of one, and couldn’t ever remember seeing one.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Poveda But he has never started a game outside of youth level and you would ask him to play the number 10 role without ever seeing him play? Costa, Pablo and Harrison would all be attack minded, there would be a huge gap in midfield between them and our back four. In first class football, Augustin has scored 14 goals in 75 appearances, he has played 52 times in three years and without seeing him play you would throw him straight in? Stevens at RB I would understand picking Shackleton but not Stevens. You still select Costa, Harrison, Pablo and Bamford who are missing chances, I think with this team selection we would see less of the ball and have less chances to miss, just my opinion though
Watching clips of Poveda , I think he's similar to Saiz. I'd like to bring Shackleton back, but to midfield. Pablo and Costa have only played half the games this season. Harrison still looks fresh imo
A win was needed today to give ourselves some breathing space before next week and 3 tough fixtures. It wasn't to be but I'm still more than happy to give today's players the chance to redeem the situation. Daft as it sounds sometimes you need to hear the squeak of your bum before showing your best. We are still a damn fine team so let's keep the perspective...30 games gone and still in the top 2.
Not sure they did, scored less goals for sure, but, part of a two striker team and in the days when we were only creating a few chances per game, recon there goals per chances were still probably as good if not better than Bamford, Bamford has had the most shots in the league I think, but I wonder how his goals to shots compair to all other championship strikers.
Do you think any of the above strikers would have converted the many chances created playing in this team mate? not being funny, just a question
Well think fans have had enough of supporting Bamford, only for him to give it the big sulk hands over his ears routine. Was noticable today, fans stopped singing his name in support after the first 30 mins of misses, same with the Kiko song.
Just being sensible if you bring new players in during January but need to protect them for 1- 2 months why bother.if they are good stick the buggers in you aren't losing anything on the last few weeks performances.
This is what I've seen today... One totally dominant team agaimst a team that hardly had a kick A deflected goal that was just so fortuitous. Wave after wave of attacks and enough good situations to have scored 3 or 4 goals. And on here...babies screaming everywhere as they go out with the bathwater.
In them days we didn't have any proper wingers and Paynter and Morison were both played wide of the main striker.Sure Morisons goals per shot was better than Bamford, can't remember much about Paynter apart from him being crap.
Must have put in 30 crosses today and if their guy with the yellow hair had been our striker we would have scored about 6 because he won about 20 of them, Don't think Bamford won any crosses when challenged 5-6 unchallenged efforts, one on target straight at the keeper, from memory.
But Jamster, we see Leeds this dominant most weeks. What you're saying about the performance is nothing unusual, but when things aren't working, it doesn't get changed
As soon as I saw you’d keep this twat in goal you lost all credibility so I didn’t bother reading the rest. Just how many more **** ups would he have to do before you’d drop him? ffs
