We know referees are biaiséd at this level and it will not change with VAR just covering up their one sided decisions

As I said during the game, at 2-0, I loved that we just kept taking the game to them.
A little bit more quality up front and we would have been in with a bigger shout of taking at least 1 point.
And, in all honesty, had we sat back we would probably have lost by more, because that isn’t our strength.
It’s good that we now have an identity as a team that will press hard and high, and when we do knock the ball around we don’t look too shabby as a ball playing football team.
Same again Wednesday, preferably with JWP back in the middle, and I think we will go through.

 

Easy to say when you win 4-0. Doubt hed have been as gracious if we won 1-0 from the penalty we should have had.

 

Yes you may not like him/them but you have to give them credit:

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "The readiness to improve in the game and learn from the game [is what we had to do to win]. The set-up of Southampton I could not give more credit to. What a strange result in the end. It’s deserved because we score the goal but what a team.

"They had too many shots on target and we had to change in the second half. That helped massively and when we are rolling it’s difficult to stop.

I feel fine about this. Score line a little harsh. Will have to see the analysis later re the pen. Watched with my Liverpool mate who was gracious.

 

Another positive from today is that I don't ever have to play the 'Dishwasher Game' again...the final proof it is bullshit

 

I thought I would be desperate to go back but actually going from vegetarian to vegan was pretty easy and morally made more sense. But I did miss mozzarella so...

 

Today was a game West Ham had to win, really. Their next six games are City away Liverpool away, Saints at home, Arsenal away, Wolves at home, Spurs away.

 

Surprised Liverpool never took Kevin Friend off at 3-0 to rest him for their next match.
