Off Topic Brexit Day

    It's my local hospital and it's surprising/shameful that it keeps being referred to as "former student housing" by the media. It is former student housing ... because it's current nurses accommodation. They have indeed been kicked out and yet from all media outlets you'd think this massive block of NHS owned flats were just empty. I'm not worried about the virus but the Tory propaganda referring the flats has been swallowed entirely, it's an odd one.

    Give it a week and there'll be one of them on Question Time commenting about how inefficient the NHS is and using these apparently empty flats as a reason why we should just privatise. Brexit has, amongst other things, been a very convenient smokescreen for all sorts of policies.
